Last night's game the Raiders made everyone attending be vaccinated, (hell of a game too!). 1,800 refused to comply and got refunds or tickets to another game. I just remain so baffled by this, I mean vaccines have been around for over 100 years and they work so it was not some new, experiential treatment people are being asked to take. Once upoon a time in this country people used to jump at the chance to help a noble cause like this, it's sad and dumb really.
According to the ESPN article about the Bills new policy, the Raiders give unvaccinated fans a masking option. That seems like an absurd loophole, so now I'm curious what the truth is? Did 1800 fans really just walk away from the season opener? Let's not kid ourselves, a huge swath of football fans will refuse to get vaccinated to attend games. IIRC the Saints have said there is a no refund policy.

Yea, it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out as the season progresses. I just don't F-ing get it, it's free, takes less than 5 minutes and 200 million in this country alone have taken it. Just get the damm shot meat-heads, geez.

Raiders games do not have a mask option. The governor gave them two options: proof of vaccination and everyone can be maskless or no proof of vaccination and everyone must be masked regardless of vaccination status. The Raiders chose the former. They are offering vaccines at the stadium as well.

Not to get political, but it is still experimental and is only still being authorized for use under EUA.
Clinical trials are still ongoing..so that is experimental in my book.

I would never attend a football game out now of pure self-interest(never had because I couldn't afford it, although Fedex gives the vibe it sucks as a home stadium, the team as a shit owner that fucked over employees psychologically), vaccinated or not. Had long COVID, might still have it as I'm all agitated and have about the limit of 3 hours of physical labor each day. Don't feel like dragging shit home either, because 72+ years olds in the home still must be treated with kid gloves when the strains are more virulent and not less.

And I value my ears as a amateur music nerd.

As a WFT fan myself, the experience at FedEx field sucks.

I've been to multiple Ravens games and their stadium is such a better experience. Everything about it is better.

Thanks, ESPN quietly edited the article to remove the false info.

Derek Carr...very mediocre qb. Throws lack accuracy, seems lost at times. Las Vegas would do well to end the relationship.
Huh?, he played his ass off in that game and who, exactly, are the Raiders going to replace him with right now, Kap?. He's posted a 100.8, 101.4 rating the past 2 seasons, 27 TD 8 int's last year, not saying the guy's elite but he's no bum either.

By definition, mediocre means neither good nor bad.
He was annoying to watch that game even though things worked out in the end, with some strikes on his part. There were drives where he was on point at times but those were interspersed with those bad throws and the Raiders O flamed out. My comment was made during the first half of the game, where the Raiders were trying to claw from behind.

Supposedly, the WCO takes 3 years to fully grasp, I do not see mastery and the missed throws are a WYSIWYG with Carr.

There are certain QBs who drop back and cause a consistent feeling of terror/"here we go again" because you just know their target will be the "right one" and they work the pocket well with their feet. Neither Carr nor Lamar showed that level of command.

Neither offensive line played with any consistency at all, Jackson in particular was under duress quite often, I'd say a 425 yd performance is not too shabby and I see no option the Raiders could take to better themselves at the QB position right now.

Tonight gonna be the shit bowl.

I'm hype for it.

A battle of two mediocre teams. Can't wait myself.

If we get whooped by Heinike I'm going to go to John Mara's house and fucking picket.

I think our O would be respectable if Jason Garrett was not calling the plays. He sucks.

NFL games are just too expensive for what you get.... sitting high up in the endzone sucks donkey balls in MetLife stadium and ANY decent seat on the sidelines that isn't a total nose-bleed is like $300+ unless you are a season ticket holder.

Also watching football live at a HUGE-ASS stadium kinda sucks especially with the risk of Covid exposure from PLENTIFUL morons factored in.

I'll just stay home and watch it on TV thanks.

I'm not looking at the stat line but what level of control the QB has when drops back an scans the field. Lamar often look clunky back there but because of his unique threat to make big plays even without making the proper reads, and that he has excellent marksmanship, it's not very evident.

I was not implying the Raiders should move on right now this season. But they better scout the college system long and hard.

I always thought Garrett had good designs but falls into the trap of abandoning the run.

You should be mad if Heiny does well. He has an elite mind, just the body he's is not the most durable.

Knowing the history of the rivalry, I'd expect the Giants to win par the course....

Yeah I watch all my games on my 10 foot screen. Last game I went to was pre-RG3 in 2011.

And they aren't any better now than they were back then. They are worse.

I am debating taking WFT in my survivor pool tonight though...

Fairly decent matchup rotfl .... fans of both teams should be embarrassed.

One thing I can say for certain... SOMEBODY has to win!
