RIP, Buffalo Billsurection.

The real Billsurrection is the return of Bill Belichick's return to the top of the AFC East.

Enjoy the the posthumous death Bills fans, from football heaven, Mozart's Requiem(who died on the fifth of December)

Jenova's theme fits BIll Belichick very well as well.

Mac Jones threw three f ing passes. Smh. We just got out coached honestly. The Pats came to win. 1 st td. They go for 2. We needed to bring that same sense of urgengency and intensity.

I don't think the Pats won the game so much as the Bills leveled themselves during the second half. The Pats were gifted the easy TD, and it was obvious they were sitting on 11 points after halftime. Like their offense was barely even trying to move the sticks, but their ground game was so pure that it occasionally got some chunk yards. So the only goal of the Pats offense in the second half was to give their defense some rest.

Meanwhile the Bills didn't take the same cues from the weather and decided, "hey we've got Josh Allen, we can still throw the ball downfield." They did get into the red zone twice, but particularly the last sequence showed they were being too aggressive in the passing game. If instead they had relied on RPOs and short passing, I think they would have had more success.

But I'd be remiss to not give a ton of credit to the Pats D. You can sit on 11 points (tacking on just 3 more) when you trust your defense to nearly shut the other team down.

I was on pins and needles for that last Buffalo drive. I was also surprised that the Patriots didn't run at least a few play actions while they had the wind in the back. Whew, glad we got the win though.

Well, the Bills get no tape for the passing game from this game to watch for the next game between the two.

NE won this game on the shoulders of Belichicks superior game-plan and its near-perfect execution mainly by their defense.

The Bills were a relatively confused mess on offense during some critical points in the game AND their supposedly league-best defense was exposed as disturbingly weak against the run. (plus looked pretty confused sometimes itself!)

Unlike after the losses earlier in the season, THIS stumble by Buffalo has lowered my opinion of the team as a whole substantially. Right now this team isn't winning anything beyond a wildcard game or MAYBE a 1st-round playoff matchup.... they could conceivably even MISS the playoffs they way they're playing. (although that's a stretch)

What seems to be missing from the Bills is poise under pressure and killer-instinct... both are REQUIRED to win a Super-Bowl.

Josh Allen was a monster last season, somehow he just doesn't seem as athletic this season. He had a couple plays where he broke tackles and looked powerful but then missed the throws(wind didn't help) but overall he just doesn't seem as physically dominant as he did last year.

Yeah like I said, the Bills leveled themselves into the belief that they could maintain a robust passing attack despite the shit weather. The thing is that was totally unnecessary as it was only a one-score game. If they had managed to score a TD on just one of the two red zone opps (not saying they were close), we wouldn't be sitting here musing about how brilliant Belichick is. We'd be asking why the Pats never even tried to win the ballgame in the second half.

Obviously, needing a TD to take the lead, the Bills had to keep throwing the ball in the 4th quarter. But going into the wind, they probably should have shied away from some of the downfield throws.

Brings me back to some of my lingering doubts about Allen.

There were receivers open underneath NE's coverage on almost every one of those errant downfield throws and he failed to even adjust to look at them.

The team play-callers get some of the blame for this as well.

As a Pats fan I have to be fair, Allen made some throws in those insane conditions that should have been caught, with the wind making any throw insanely difficult the one's that got there needed to be caught, they are, after all primarily a pass 1st team. He has regressed some this year though and his contreact is just nutty $$.

In Allen's defense, I think the 50-65mph gusts had frozen the lens muscles on his eyes, and he just wasn't able to focus at the midfield very well--I would not be surprised if his vision was frozen at the longer focal distance (I'm only, half? joking...). Still, he missed some stinkers and had some obvious drops as others said, but that was a team that didn't want to switch to a run that they would have been more competitive in, hindsight, but also just didn't want to abandon "who they were," and the conditions and situation nailed them.

I think Belichick kinda freaks people out. Once they realized it was a 3 pass game in the first half, Buffalo was just like...sh-yeah right! here comes the Play action! or whatever. they thought they wouldn't get suckered into a gimmick game and think they need to "adjust everything to beat a good team," but they did and lost. lol.

The Badgers are playing in the Las Vegas Bowl. The last time the Badgers played in Vegas, the town ran out of beer. Let’s see if they’re better prepared this time.

Preseason HOF game is on.

Not like I care about the Cowboys. Fuck the Cowboys.
Imagine Frozen if the Patriots, Colts, Stealers don't even get into the playoffs. Now that would be amazing, as then every team with less chances that move to the playoffs now would have a better chance.

Not likely the Pats are missing the playoffs at this point.... in fact they have a solid shot at winning the AFC East.

The Colts and the Steelers are both on the outside looking in if the season ended today and I'm not crazy about Indy's chances anymore.

OTOH I suspect the league/NFL officials will "step in" and make sure the Steelers are in the playoffs for "Big Ben's" last season unless they start winning on their own.

With the amount of money in legal gambling today they won't be able to completely "job" the game/officials calls as has happened in the past more than once (to be fair not just for Pitt) but I still anticipate potential season/playoff-spoiling shenanigans.
