Where is Brett Favre, Brett Favre!, BRETT FAVRE!?
Madden's All-Decade team would have Brett Favre at all QB spots.
lol, reminds me of da Bears sketchesplus i think he would through him in at a few others just for good measure.
<madden> Brett Favre is so good he could beat this team all by himself </madden>
Didn't Young still play in the last decade?
Answered my own question and looked it up.
Aikman did play in 2000 though
John Lynch, Defensive back, guy just never quit on a play.
His defense and kicker are just as responsible for those Super Bowl wins. It seems that when they were winning Super Bowls, he got all the credit; when they lost to the Giants, Pats fans were tripping over themselves not to find any fault with him. As a Colts fan, it is gratifying seeing people finally realize the truth.
With that said, he deserves to be on the list. I'm not sure who else you could pick, since the only other QBs that leap to mind are Warner (2 SB losses but lots of stats and an amazing career), Roethlisberger (2 SB wins, but is sometimes erratic), Favre (had some bad years this decade and no SB appearances), or McNabb (1 SB loss and many other NFC Championship losses). In the end, I'd pick Manning #1, Brady a distant #2, and then maybe Warner or Big Ben as #3
Kind of like how the only reason that Manning has a ring is because of the defense and running game the year that they won. But you're right Manning has played absolutely stellar in the post season.....
The difference is that I won't deny that Manning had a poor postseason that year and the defense carried them. Manning played fairly well in the Super Bowl though. Remember, this guy calls his own plays.
Well it seemed like you were using that logic to rank Brady below Manning....I would personally put Manning above Brady because he does call his own plays though.
Brian Urlacher? Would he play on this "All Decade" team from a wheel chair or on crutches?
No, I don't use rings to rank anyone (or at least use them as the only factor) and always scoff at that whole argument. Manning is an amazing QB and I don't say that just because I live in Indy. The guy is unreal at the line of scrimmage, which is where he does 90% of his magic. He probably only has a few years left and I am afraid most of us take him for granted.
Antonio Gates? Really? Over Jason Witten?
And honestly, if it were Manning or Brady getting pummelled like a crash test dummy during that last playoff game for Minn, they'd be MAYBE coming out of the coma now. Farve is 10x the player Manning or Brady will ever be.
285 Consecutive starts, THE most by any position player in the NFL ever

Except for the fact that Favre makes a habit out of throwing interceptions at crucial moments in the biggest games of his career.

And Brady has a habit of leaving the big games to his kicker.
Last pass as a Packer, INT.
Last pass as a Jet, INT.
Last pass as a Viking, INT.
