Nforce 4 MB

Ok, I was orignially waiting to see if DFI would release their socket 939 board anytime soon. They may, however in my search for more information I have found info concerning the new Nforce 4 chipset using PCI-X. Anyone have information on when we might see MB's using this? According to what Ive read they say Oct-Dec time frame. I havenot been able to find any detials out. Any help much appriciated

You won't find much about Nforce4 because that's not it's official name.
The next Nvidia chipset is being called this: CK8-04 SLI, CK8-04 Ultra and CK8-04

Somone from the Marketing team for ABIT says that their Nforce4 board will be out in November. They claim it will be the best gaming/overclocking board ever, but won't give out the details of what they are doing so different.

Yeah, me too. I've been ready to buy for about 6 months, but decided that 939 with PCI-E was worth the wait. I just hope that Nvidia can get the 6800 series out for PCI-E before Nforce4. More importantally, I hope that all of it is out as close to the HL2 release date as possible (whenever that will actually happen).

Nvidia isn't doing a very good job of letting people know when both of these products will be ready. I saw somewhere that the 6800 series will be out for pci-e in the fall sometime and Nforce4 between Q4 '04-Q1 '05.

We could use a Nvidia press release or 2!

Because nonquantifiable claims from a marketing department should always be trusted.

You probably mean PCI-E.
