I dunno why everyone is assuming that just because the audio transistors are there that the board is going to have high end parts to make the maximum use out of it.

My guess is that the $125 board is going to be a budget board. Don't expect a $125 board to have high end audio. For most people though it should be fine, especially out of the SPDIF output.

Some people prefer codenames over real names.

Athlon will forever be the K7.
Athlon4 is Palomino.
P3s are Coppermine and Katmai(I know core names)
Nvidia chips are NVxx.

You read about them for so long before announcement, thats just what you stick with. At least thats how I am.

It's not like ANY card will give you &quot;booming bass&quot; right out the back of your computer, that's why you need an amp.
