The Flyers will surprise some folks. Last year they limped into the playoffs, but guys like Briere, Pronger, Richards, Giroux, even Leino (even though he's sucked lately) play on a different level in the postseason.
Goaltending is just as shaky as last year, but the offensive firepower is there. Last season, Krajicek and Bartulis were the 3rd defensive pairing - meaning you could not put them out there at all, and Timonen and Pronger had to play 30 mins a piece. This year the 3rd pairing is O'Donnell and Meszaros, assuming Pronger returns. If not it's Boynton, Syvret or Gustaffson as the 6th guy. I'm absolutely fine with that in front of Bobrovsky (let's not joke, the other 2 are not playing unless Bob melts down).
The Flyers chances are about guys playing to their potential. If they do it, they contend for the cup. If not, it's a first round exit. Depends on whether Richards, Carter, et al want to play lazy or not. It's certainly not for a lack of talent.
My picks:
Vancouver over Chicago in 4 (This is going to be so one-sided)
San Jose over LA in 5 (Kopitar is a big loss, as was Williams)
Detroit over Phoenix in 7 (I basically flipped a coin)
Nashville over Anaheim in 5 (See: coin flip)
NY over Washington in 7 (WAS is too soft for this one, they got the worst possible matchup)
Boston over Montreal in 4 (Again, Montreal is just too soft)
Tampa over Pittsburgh in 6 (Tampa is really, really underrated)
Philly over Buffalo in 6 (I'm a homer)
Wait... Defense wins championships, and yet you pick against Pittsburgh, who has the #1 Penalty Kill stats and 6th in Goals Against?
you fail.
Yeah, by "in 2011" I meant the record of games they played in 2011.Oh was that the record for teams Jan to now?

Yeah, by "in 2011" I meant the record of games they played in 2011.
FWIW, the top 5 records in 2011 are:
Code:W L OTL P P% Vancouver 31 11 4 66 0.717 Buffalo 28 11 6 62 0.688 San Jose 28 12 4 60 0.681 Washington 26 11 6 58 0.674 Anaheim 27 13 1 55 0.670
Sure. Since trade deadline:You should check the records since the trade deadline. I know Washington "flipped the switch" after that. Before their new players, they didn't play to their potential.

San Jose 12 4 3 27 71.0
Nashville 12 4 3 27 71.0
Canucks were better early, Hawks picked it up at the end.
Next goal is huge. 3-0 probably too deep for Hawks, 2-1 a new game.
Nashville scores! Can they just switch to the exciting game of the night? Screw Versus, I may have to buy NHL Center Ice to watch the freaking Preds play.

I'm watching it in Knoxville on Sports South. Its in non HD and half of the screen is missing. It looks really bad.
Dam, that sux.
Anyone have a live internet feed for the Preds game?
Watching some Canucks/Hawks, Hawks don't have a prayer in this series... Crawford is making a save a minute just to keep them in this thing.
It's about a minute behind TSN live.
