0-1 is a tough loss. 0-3 is a beating. 1-8 is a fluke. Nothing to read in this one; Wednesday will have the answer.

At some point,m why was Luonogo not pulled for the simple reason of preventing injury?

The Sedin's are well rested. Took the last 10 minutes off pretty much. Why not the tender?

Pretty much 1-5. Expect the Bs to get a home win. Hoping they steel game 5.

They proved tonight that they can hang with the c'nucks.

if the c'nucks are a 95% team, the Bs are a 90% team.

Anyone watching should appreciate what they are seeing.

They proved tonight that they can hang with the c'nucks.

They didn't prove that tonight. They've been playing well enough against them the entire series. The first two games were only 1 goal differences. It's not like the Canucks have been dominating the Bs or vice versa (until tonight).

Shotty CBC broadcasting didnt even catch the Kesler fight. Fail.

NBC or ABC or whatever the hell I am watching (could care less) didn't show it either.

FWIW: Grow up in Lockport, NY. I had the joys of Hockey Night in Canada for my entire youth (even college). I want CBC but I now live in CT. So I can not get it. Trust me. I tried.

I can't believe it. I am a Bs fan. Pretty much the only local team I can get constantly and usually in HD. I enjoy the cycling skill (Bs have not been matched ion this category till the Cs).

Horton at Mass General Hospital overnight for observation. Seems like they just want to make sure some ligaments in the neck/spine were not shaken loose. I'm sure the entire team is in transit to visit him. 99.9% of the time it is family first, hockey second. Right now, the reverse is true omitting severe circumstances.

The refs did what they could to take control. I hope the next game is hard hitting but without any head hunting. Old time hockey baby! Pretend all you have leather pads on only!

As for head hunting. I pray that we don't go back to 2003 standards for protecting the players.

PS: had a few beers. Sorry for typos. the Firefox spell check does nothing! PS: Anyone that can get me free tickets, I have a passport and am generally a good guy to hang out with. Even if you are female, I am a loyally married man. Tickets ... Tickets.. Please!

Man, you gotta wonder how the game would have ended up had Edler's stick not broke on him like that. I'd like to see Ballard come back in for the Canucks if Hamhuis isn't ready.

EDIT:
Tim Thomas. While Patrick Roy was an evolutionary change to the game (butterfly style), Thomas (and the Dominator) should be jointly appreciated for their contributions to goaltending style.

Dominik Hašek. How to say it. Roy is a revolutionary step. He did 100% of the shift paradigm wise. Dominik Hašek did the "panic style" as I call it. Let's call it "The Hašek". "The Hašek" was a 90% change while Roy was a 100% change. "The Hašek" was appreciated by many but The Sabres never made it to far with "The Hašek" in net. I think Thomas is a continuation of sorts to Dom. Except Thomas is the 100% version. Thomas makes 90% of the saves that The Dom would have made except Thomas makes those extra 9%. That extra 9% is the revolution.

Join the forums. Give me tickets. I would pay money to see Thomas win it all! Seriously. Private Message me. His technique is a a once in 50 year event in terms of paradigm shift. I have a true appreciation of this game. Actually give me 3-4 tickets to game seven. I'd appreciate it with some cousins (one is on a hockey scholarship)

How many think we lost as badly as we did in good part due to that first tackle? We essentially just breathed like into Boston with that.

hopefully boston didn't blow their load in this game. this series is damn good needs to go to 7.

Home advantage? last change advantage?

Who knows. I see game 4 as a likely B win. I want to see the Bs win game 5. To a lesser extent 7. Game 5 after all would give them the chance to win at home.

Hit on Horton was not late - it was a cheap shot to the head. Doesn't surprise me he didn't get more than 5 minutes considering Burrows incident was "overlooked".

Best moment of the game is when Thomas sent that nice little message in front of his net - you want to play dirty, you're going to pay dearly.

I thought the Canucks responded well. Killed off the penalty and the Sedins had a strong shift right after. They out shot them 12-7 (6 of those Bruins shots were on the PP)

There are so many things wrong with your statement it is obvious you know nothing about hockey.

The hit was clean but late. The call was interference, not charging. And the Bruins are playing just as dirty as the Canucks are with all the little slashes and shots to the head.

Well, your own paper disagrees with you:

"Horton was on the receiving end of an open-ice hit by Vancouver defenceman Aaron Rome five minutes into the first. Rome's hit was late and delivered to Horton's head and he received a five-minute interference major and a game misconduct. He may well also receive a suspension from the NHL office on Tuesday."

It doesn't disagree with me at all. And the youtube clips disagree with the paper about the hit to the head. Rome's feet were on the ground, his arm was tucked in, and most of the impact was arm to chest. What messed up Horton was his head (thankfully in his helmet) hitting the ice. Clean (except for the lateness), unfortunate, but late.

Oh, and how late was the hit? Less than a second. (I did the best I could with the youtube video).

Embarrassment of a game for the Canucks.

Luongo got hung out to dry by non-existent D all night long.

I really wonder why they kept Luongo out after the 4th goal. You could tell tonight wasn't going to end well.

I'm also pretty surprised by the # of non calls as well.

Apparently Luongo went to AV during the 2nd intermission and said "don't you dare think of taking me out."

That's the first photo or video I've seen of the hit, and that's not late at all. Getting hit after releasing the puck is nothing new, how is this different from Scott Stevens's hit on Paul Kariya?

Strong hockey play.
