NY/WASH game has been called pretty fairly, some borderline calls but overall good.

Tied up at 2-2, desperation time for NY. This is must win for them.

I have no bias in the Rangers/Caps game.

The replay I saw was not obstructed at all. Looked pretty clear, breaking the plane at .2 and PAST the line by .1

If NBC's clock was off by .1 then I STILL think it was in.

But whatever, not much good has ever come out of the silly "situation room" anyways.

They finally showed a replay with the official clock superimposed on an overhead shot, and the puck as still on the line when time ran out. They made the right call.

Rangers still won either way.

Honestly, I think more often than not the "war room" makes the right call, even if the right call does not accurately reflect reality. That is, they make the right call based on what they can see and what the call was on the ice, and they can't overturn a bad call on the ice if they can't see proof.

The one situation that I think they do a bad job on is kicked goals, and I think they need to change the rule on that to make it less subjective.

Did you see the number of penalties called in yesterdays Flyers-Sabres game?
Buffalo averaged 11.7 PIM/game during the season but so far through 2 playoff games, they're averaging 20.5. Ouch. They really need to turn that around if they want to win this series.

I'm a Flyers fan so ordinarily I'd agree on discipline being needed. But the shit that was getting called yesterday was absolute trash. In the interest of playing a fucking hockey game, the refs needed to put the whistles away, because the only really legit penalties I saw out there (practically) were the fighting majors.

As a fan, I don't want to see half the game played on special teams.

How many games will Torres get? I'm going to say 6, possibly more. I like Torres, but that hit was definitely over the line.

What did he do now? Wasn't he just off suspension?

Yes, first game back. The Hit he was Suspended for was rather weak for a Suspension, IMO, but he laid a hit on Seabrook that is not questionable. I'm sure it will be talked about a lot.

Both of the games had horrible reffing, but the second game was ridiculous. I hope the rest of the series is 5 on 5 for more than half the game...

That hit was ridiculous, if he doesn't get at least 2 something is fcked up with the league.

He could have made it legal so easily by just touching the puck. Although Seabrook was pretty bloody stupid for skating behind the net like that with his head turned looking back.

Old NHL Raffi get kudos from his teammates, gets in a fight with other team, and Seabrook learns a lesson. New NHL Raffi is gonna get suspended and Seabrook might learn a lesson.

That's going to be a couple of games there. If he had just kept his shoulder down and not raised his arm to go for the head shot, that really is just a 2 minute interference call. The head shot just wasn't necessary, he could have blown him up shoulder to shoulder or shoulder to chest and had the same effect.

Just got back from the game. The Seabrook hit was a horrid call. If he doesn't get suspended, I don't know what the hell is going on anymore in the NHL and it sends a message of inconsistency.

That being said, the Canucks are just...good. Nothing else to be said. Physical team that has solid puck control and a defense that makes a team over commit and exposes them to fast breaks and odd man situations. If the Hawks win 2, I'll be surprised. I still hope for the Hawks to win the next 4, but facing reality, it's not gonna happen.

I do hope Luongo is eaten by a bear though.

It pains me to say.... yes, the Canucks are a very good team.

The Hawks showed a lot of heart, and I love them for it. But the canucks are just better.

The Hawks attack with energy and hope, and the Canucks attack with skill.

I'm surprised the Refs just gave him 2 minutes.

Yea, I was expecting a major on that one. I'm calling a 5 game suspension on this hit.

Also, why wasn't Seabrook in the dressing room after that hit? He did eventually go in but that was about 2 shifts later when he got hit by Torres again.

I would suspect as soon as any signs of a concussion or injury present itself they are taken in. A concussion may not immediately be apparent...its a tough injury to see the immediate effects of.
