Wow, i couldn't watch the Cap-Lightning game, but damn, 3-0 Bolts i did not expect!

The Bolts are on fire. 6 straight wins. Stamkos/Vinny/St. Loius are as explosive a trio as any in the game. Roloson is playing as good as any goalie right now. Really wants not to like about the Lightning. They've got a good shot to be in the Stanley Cup Finals now.

This would be a huge win for the Preds if we can somehow sneak one more past Luongo. I would probably give it the title of 2nd biggest win in franchise history.

Good job by the Canucks. Really nice power play.

They really need this one.

I have to say after that second period by the Preds, they came back in the third. Props, this is going to be a really competitive series.

Yep, combo of their firepower, solid d, and luck should propel them to the Finals. I doubt the Bruins or Flyers will beat them.

We could have a nashville vs tampa bay cup finals. That might generate the worst ratings ever.

I'm a Tampa fan, but I have to agree. A southern hockey final would mean that neither Canada or the northern US would watch. And most of the south doesn't care about hockey.

IIRC, the Calgary-TB stanley cup finals had pretty bad ratings for 2 otherwise good teams.

Luck can only last so long, but their run will last as long as Roloson plays like this. I do hope the Bruins play them so that I can see them up here. I may end up being the only TB fan in the garden, but it would be fun. I'll probably get the same dirty looks l got when the Rays played the Red Sox in the 2008 playoffs.

I'd love to see a Tampa/Nashville final, it'd be a fun defensive matchup.

Rolo has been good for sure, and Neuvirth even better (stopped more quality scoring chances). The difference has been the defense for sure. Neuvirth is getting no help whereas Rolo doesn't have to worry much because of Tampa's trademark 1-3-1 wall (definitely a fan of it). Luckwise, any team that gets spotted a goal per game off of the other team (skates, sticks, w/e) is a huge advantage, you probably see that only once a series for a team. However, the Bolts get credit because they're pressuring the Caps D with their speed and being the aggressor. Neuvirth can only bail WASH out so many times before they get to him. All in all, WASH are dead men walking at this point and can really just play the spoiler role by forcing a couple more games and not allowing Tampa to rest (which they could really use). Coaching wise, it was good to see Wash's regular lines back (Boudreau had switched them up earlier in the series), although putting Ovi on the point at the end of the game was a head scratcher. I don't recall other coaches switching up lines this much and messing with the chemistry that got the team there. All in all, what the Bolts did last night was amazing: WASH was 41-0-3 after scoring 3 goals in a game and 29-0-3 leading after 2 periods.

Glad to see Canucks/Preds went to OT. The longer the series goes, the better the shot the Preds have due to wearing the Canucks down and placing more pressure on heavily favored Vancouver to win. Although it sucks the Preds lost Sullivan.

Boston/Philly, they are saying that Jeff Carter could be back which would be huge for Philly. It could set up a JVR/Carter/Giroux line which would be ideal since Carter scores 1/3 of his goals off rebounds and of course JVR has proven he can blow by Boston defenders to put the puck on Tim Thomas. Regardless, Philly needs to stop the Krejci/Horton/Lucic line if they want to win.

Took some time last night to watch Nashville/Vancouver. And it was a nice game to watch. But I just can NOT stand Mike Keenan between the periods. He is like a stiff puppet up there explaining plays and breaking down strategy. Virtually no personality.

Anyway, going to try to watch the Wings game tonight. They really got to stop letting the Sharks get under their skin.

Caps are making the same mistakes they always do... well, Ovechicken is. He's trying to win the game by himself. Same thing as last year - shut him down and the team falls flat on it's face.

Sharks, Canucks, Tampa, Boston - if at least one makes it to the final, I'll be rooting for that team [personally I'm rooting for a Canucks/Tampa match up for the cup]

that is laughable... he is one of the only caps players to pull his weight

I'm sorry if 9PTS & 5G in 8GP is the suck (not to mention all the other shit he does on the ice)

I think the Preds are at a greater risk of being warn down. Weber is their goto guy and he was showing fatigue from being played so much last game. Although the Sedin Line has been ineffective 5 on 5, the Kesler Line has stepped up and the PP Sedin-Kesler Line has been effective as well. The 3rd and 4th Lines are not as effective in the Scoring department, but get many chances and are effective at Forechecking.

Did you actually watch the games? Ovi is producing despite the fact he is double and tripled covered when he crosses the offensive blue line. Also judging by his body language, he may be nursing an injury.

The problem is lack of drive and desire across the board for the Caps. They are consistently getting beat to the puck, making slow/sloppy line changes, and turning the puck over in dangerous areas. The only thing working consistently for them is goal tending. Neuvirth deserves better results for all of his efforts.

I am a huge Caps fan, but they did not show up to play round 2.

Wow, another Flyers season done in by garbage goaltending. That organization just does not get it.
