I don't need a new PC but I still buy those combos at Fry's because of the price, and the possibility that I will build one for a relative or a friend. I might have to get one of these too at this price. I like the fact that the mobos are Soyo instead of ECS.Originally posted by: Bri79 I wish I needed a new computer. Good deal tho!

Oh..this is tempting. I've been looking for something to replace the 500Mhz celeron folding machines I have.
Does anyone know if getting the 2800+ or 3000+ will benifit folding enough to justify the expense? The 2800+ with a 256MB stick of Kingston 333 comes to $165 3-day shipped to TX.
Also, can these machines boot to the network? I looked at the Soyo website and couldn't find a detailed manual.
2x512 would be more economical(1x512 would be sufficient) than buying a 1GB stick and the Kingston will be fine.Originally posted by: 1Cheap2Crazy
Thanks TipsyMcStagger!
Could someone help me with the memory? I would like 1GB of memory, do I need to purchase 2 512MB or can I just buy one 1024MB?
Is it OK to get two of these at CC
Kingston Memory
I'll have a friend purchase the second stick so I won't void the MIR.
Thanks

yes
Ummm, that doesn't help me much(I'm not to bright). I thought I've read for DDR to work right that you need to populate both memory banks. If so, then I would get 2 512MB as opposed to 1 1024MB. So, does that memory at CC (see my earlier post) work for this MB?
