She looks like my ex-GF's daughter, who has gone through almost 15 years of up and down anorexia crap. She's managed to wipe out her parent's savings, her and her husband's (I would have left after she almost died about a year after their kid was born) dreams of owning a house and even a decent car are gone, due to her requiring hundreds of thousands of $$$ worth of treatment that never seems to stick. She's damaged her heart to the point that she will probably die if she doesn't stop starving herself. When she was 18, she was 145 pounds at 5'10", and was really great looking. She went to college, and put on 20 pounds or so, and the whole mess began. In the 15 years since then, she has been of "normal" weight, only once, when she was pregnant with her kid, she ate ok, but as soon as she was born, she started starving herself again, and soon wound up in inpatient treatment for the second time.
Now, she's 33, weighs about 90-95, maybe 100 once a year or so, and looks like a 53 year old with cancer. Her bones are shot, her teeth are all messed up too. She says she never made herself puke, but her teeth show she's lying. She's been in treatment five times, once in Canada ($$$$$), and still is starving herself slowy to death. Her folks have zero dollars in the bank, every spare penny goes to the kid's treatment, but my ex is saying that she's about done with it, she's already working years longer than she expected or wanted to, just to have a bigger pension to make up for the loss of a quarter million of her cash and stocks, etc, that she paid out for the kid's treatment! She's just about ready to "let nature take it's course". Her ex has put 200K plus into trying to help her, 50 of it on a credit card! His present wife and kid are going without due to the huge amount he's paid out for innefective treatment.
If you ever have a kid that shows any sign of this, get help right away, before they get to the point of permanent damage. My ex-gf and her ex-hubby didn't see the kid for six months, and she was very skinny when they has last saw her, she was already starving at that point, but they didn't want to "start any trouble". When she came home at under 100 pounds, to say they were shocked was putting it mildly. I had no idea who she was! I had actually met her before meeting her mom, and had no idea who this apparently cancer ridden girl was that came up and hugged me when I came over to see her mom the night she came home. Ihad my dog with me, and when she started hugging him, I realized who she was. I couldn't believe it!
