Nike is worth something like 3 NFLs. Some redneck hillbillies in the USA mean little to them because they are a global empire, and one which isn't nearly as pure white as you desperately wish it to be.

Nike will be better than fine.

Some highlights:

How Boyer initially felt, which mirrors my initial reaction:
“He wasn’t mad, but he was entirely ready to dismiss Kaepernick as just another coddled and churlish star, acting up when his starting job was in jeopardy.”

I also think its relevant to point out that it was Boyer who steered the conversation to something productive, which Kaepernick’s PR people seized upon.

I also respect Boyer for condemning how political the whole conversation has become.

Maybe Nike should feature Boyer in the campaign.

IMO the timing is irrelevant if it is genuinely an issue. Maybe something particular happened to him in the same timeframe that caused him to go down that path?
