anyone know if repeat/regular customers of B&H get any kind of discounts or if there are any coupons available? my dad buys from there a lot so if he can get any kind of discount, that would be awesome.

yes hes right, a "fast lens" is typicially one with a min apature of 2.8 or smaller, a 50mmf/1.2 is a very fast lens

thast being said nikons VR typicvally adds 2 stops so if you meter at 1/60 f/8 you can basicially shoot it at 1/15 f/8 and it wont be blurry

but it will be overexposed by 2 EV.

actually, i can get it for $85 brand new if i want to wait until amazon gets it back in stock. just got a $15 off coupon today.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the 50mm f/1.8 and the wireless remote for the D50.
