The original 900 had similar sales on and off from the date it was first released. This newer version has been shown since around June 2008, perhaps it took some time for Antec to ramp up production and sell off existing 900 stock.Originally posted by: MAEST
Was wondering why the 900 was going on sale so often. I think I prefer the looks of the original 900.

I have the CM690 and wow im happy with it, the toolless design works brilliantly, no rattles or anything, and brilliant built in cable management, as well as very strong and sturdy materials used. The only issue i have is that i bought the CM690 with NO WINDOW on the side, and i think it might have worked better with the window, of course im not certain, but yeah. I put in 2000RPM thermaltake fans, 2 on top and 1 directly under the DVDRW drive cable tied to my chassis and then enermax 2400RPM cooling over HDDs, and my temps are pretty amazing if i say so, but like i said, the position of the top fan on the side panel i dunno if it is good, bcoz if i disconnect it then the bottom fan only spins on the bottom and the air seems more hot out the top.
The 2nd Revision of the 900 included cable management holes and water cooling grommets. They showed up around March of last year after the debut of the 1200. This 902 has all of those enhancements along with the main additions from the 1200, fan screens and fan rheobuses.Originally posted by: George Powell
Hopefully cable management possibilities will be much improved with the new case, as the previous version was woeful to say the least. The 1200 however was a joy to build with.
They're all going to be pretty similar, with maybe a slight nod in cooling to the 902. The P182 is slightly larger I believe and can accomodate more HDDs and has some features like removable HDD cages. It probably comes down to styling preference more than anything between these choices, although my main gripe with the 900 was that it wasn't deep enough. Things are a bit tight between the mobo and front drive cages. The 1200 adds about 1.5" but another inch or two would've been great, especially now that EATX is becoming more common on the high-end.Originally posted by: Jid
So you guys think the air filters in this case will help keep dust out in a significant way at all? Not sure which case to get for myself, so I was just going to get what everyone else uses to keep everything cool, I just don't want to suck up all the carpet dust into my rig. Other option I'm considering is coolermaster 690 or antec p182 since the 900 kind of looks like a small animal torture device. However, I'm not so sure about the toolless stuff in the 690 or the cooling of the p182 or if either would keep dust out any better.
Any thoughts?

That sounds very good, someone recommended me that case but I got panicky about the toolless thing when I read some people had problems fitting certain parts in there.. however I went to the store to see these things live instead of just pictures and it's very very nice looking for what it is, the antec's look like you'd keep your powertools in there, or grind pidgeons into paste for your sandwitches.
Thank you

Many of the new Socket 1366 boards are EATX to accomodate additional components, particularly the third pair of DIMM slots.Originally posted by: VulcanX
Seriously? I thought EATX was designed for servers mainly esp with dual processor or more?

It's exactly the same as the 1200 now, except smaller.

So, what's the verdict on this one? I have yet to find any reviews.
