I recently bought a PS3 and I picked this game up with it.

I was wondering if there is a way to reload from a save point while in the game without having to dying.

Example: Several waves of ninja attack, I don't fight as well as I'd like and end up using too many elixers. At this point, I would like to go back to redo the fight.

I have not seen an option of any sorts to do this on the in-game menu (start button during game play). Am I blind? I skimmed thru the booklet and googled the topic, but nothing useful came up.

The way I have been doing it is by exiting the game completely, then starting back up and loading from the save point. This is a pain in the butt and was hoping for a better (proper?) way to do it.

I have been playing this game extensively past few weeks and beat it not too long ago. I know what you mean, but I always had to resort to quitting and reloading the game, which was a pain in the ass. My problem was not the elixirs but the scroll thing that revives you when you have zero health.

So to answer you question, no I don't think there is an in game reloading saved game option.

Well that stinks. The game has a steep enough learning curve as it is....

Gratz on beating the game.
I have only gotten as far as Chapter 3, but have restarted the game four times now. I keep getting so far, then realizing I have been doing something wrong or I could have been doing something better. So I just go back to the beginning.
Blocking was the big one. Took me awhile to figure out how to do it properly. My timing was horrible.

Anyways, thanks for the reply and good luck on Hard.

The game got much easier after a point. I would say last half of the game was easier than the first half due to me getting used to the all the combos and moves.

I don't think hard is that bad at all. Master ninja should be a bitch though.

started playing today and the game is f-ing hard as hell, particularly the boss battles. Only on chapter 3 right now.

It will get easier as you get used to the battle mechanics.

NGS is actually easier than NGB, from what I've heard.
