one thing to note, the wavebird has to be on the receipt...my thinking is that cc will scan the wavebird then enter a discount for $34.99 (regular price). if thats the case you shoudl be good to go. if not...then you prolly wont get the rebate.

Even if I couldn't get the rebate, I don't think I would complain about $5 when I am getting the Wavebird for free.

In-store only. How are we going to get the 20% msn???? Or have anyone tried ordering online, and pick it up and take advantage of in-store special?

If that is the case I would order at nite 12.05 am and get to store the next day. If it works man its a awesome deal.

Plenty of thanks to Da man.

Order online and then pick up at store. Hopefully it will qualify as store purchase.

_______
$102.99 w/o tax?! <--- Is this right?

Note: There's no $5 game rebate since it's get a game rebate, or controller rebate

I'm pretty sure it breaks down to this:

+$149.99 Gamecube
+ $49.99 Any game (game needed to get free controller)
- $40 (MSN Dollars) (+ 20% of tax also)
(Order for In-store Pickup after 12/08
_____________
159.98 ($199.98 up front + tax)
+34.99 (Wavebird Controller)
-34.99 (Wavebird Controller Instant Rebate)
____________
159.98 ($199.98 up front + tax)

Then for the Mail-In-Rebates
$159.98
-$25 Gamecube Console Rebate
-$10 ($5 for Accessory + $5 for game)
_________________
124.98 After everything, give or take a few cents + tax

The Accessory/Game rebate can be used up to 5 times (for a total of 25$). It is not a single 25$ rebate.

Still not bad. I thought I was wrong with the rebates. I think I might be getting a GC this year . Any game out that's better than Metroid Prime?

Where can you find the $25 rebate for the controller?

I made a mistake. There's only a $5 rebate for the controller, but there's also another $5 rebate for the game you have to purchase

actually because the msn dollars dont show up till feb the math would be:
+ $149.99
+ $39.99 (sega smash pack) or else $49.99 or if you can find one $29.99
= $179.99/$189.99 + tax (order online, pick it up at store)

+ $34.99 (wavebird)
- $34.99
= $179.99/$189.99 + tax (not sure if they will charge you tax on the wavebird)

- $25 rebate for cube
- $10 rebates for game and wavebird
= $144.99/$154.99 + whatever tax you had paid previously

- 20% of $179.99 = $35.99
- 20% of $189.99 = $37.99
this msn dollars will not show up till feb, and you will have to use it online

MSN includes tax in their 20% calculation.

In my case $200 + 7% tax = $214, my MSN Cash would be $42.80.

the CC deal is nice, but we have to see if they will honor it. i dont know if the purchase needs to be in store or not. lets see if they consider store pickup as in store.

I just noticed on the Circuit City website that you can not order a game for in store pickup. Any ideas on how we can get both the MSN rebate and the free Wavebird controller? If not, I have to decide if I want the 20% MSN Cash or the free Wavebird controller.

I noticed this a few days ago but I thought it was because the game (Metroid Prime) was out of stock. I just tried other games, and it just isnt possible.

I dont know how it would be possible to get 20% MSN and wirebird if we cant even buy a game and then pick it up. I guess I will go with EB with 20% and free shipping with no tax.

Sure this is HOT! You kidding me? The price of the console wont fall for a while. Throw in Metroid Prime with mem card, then use MSN 20% and the rebates for the console and the game. After you get 20% MSN in Feb 2003, you can use that to get more games.
