According to Circuit City customer service there isn't any problem getting the $35 Wavebird/Circuit City rebate and the Nintendo $25 Gamecube console rebate.

This makes sense, since the $35 rebate is from Circuit City.

you should just email nintendo and tell em by causing all this nonsense everyones going to return their systems cause its no longer a good deal haha
i really dont think nintendo will reject your $25 console rebate cause they wont know if you sent out a rebate to circuit city for the wavebird

Do both the circuit city wavebird rebate and the nintendo rebates both require the original UPCs? And if they do, how would you send in both?

again, forget what the nintendo people are saying. they are idiots

read the rebate terms:

it specifically states no discounts on the GAMECUBE rebate

if you read the side about games/wavebird, it DOES NOT say no discounts

if you want to be sure, i would say send in your two rebates separately. $25 gamecube rebate in one envelope, $10 rebate in aother envelope. or if you are really paranoid, forget the $5 wavebird rebate. if they kick the games/wavebird back, ask them to point out where on the games/wavebird coupon it says no discounts

besides, when you are ordering online, the charges on the receipt/invoice will only show $150 for gamecube, $30+ for game, and $35 for wavebird. it will NOT show $0 for wavebird, nor will it say FREE WAVEBIRD on the receipt

$35 rebate comes in the mail, and msn comes later. neither will show up on your credit card or circuitcity sales receipts/invoices. nintendo wont know if you get these or not, for all they know you will forget about both

I believe Nintendo will accept a printout of the order confirmation screen as a receipt for online purchases which at Circuit City does not have any rebates mentioned.

So it seems like if you order everything online and get everything delivered, you're guaranteed to get the MSN rewards as well as the mail-in rebates since you're online receipt doesn't talk about any special deals.

NOW, does the pricematch to FAO still work? I read in this thread that if you do the pricematch in store, it breaks the MSN rewards. Is that true? I was able to get CC to pricematch to FAO just fine, but I had to return it because I messed up the online order and wouldn't have gotten the rebates. I re-ordered for delivery, but if I go in and do the PM again, will it work?

one sure way also is to just get the GC at Meijer for normal price, copy the receipt to send in, come back and tell them you forgot about the $10 coupon. I had a toys manager suggest this to me, lol, oh and Nintendo hasn't mailed me back about my 2nd email yet, but I could care less now, it was kinda of harsh.. I'll post it later, I'm dead tired from having to work all day after no sleep cause or MP, hehe

hello, newbie here (somewhat... i've been checking the forums for quite some good info for the past months, but first time writing...)
asking for your thoughts on this question...

I'm sure some people have thought about buying preowned games from ebgames.com site,
or maybe i'm the only one... if this works that'll make me buy right now...
but i'm still wondering whether nintendo will consider these invalid for their rebates.
Does a preowned game count as a "discount"? or will they even know?
I've ordered preowned games from ebgames before, but i tossed the recipts a long time ago.
pretty sure the word "preowned" appears on the it, though.
Anyway, can Nintendo reject it? technically the rebate form doesnt state
anything about games having to be "new" .... or is that assumed...?

i'm getting too caught up in this but still trying to figure out the lowest cost method...
Harry potter and Mario sunshine, a memory card and a Cube is what im aiming for. (Plus the Zelda windwaker preorder)
ebgames' various gift vouchers and discount codes(which might not even be allowed for the nintendo rebate)
arent helping me compare the Circuit city deals.

any thoughts?

when i buy preowned games from B&M gamestops or ebgames stores the reciept always says that it is preowned. I figure it's the same for the internet. Also if you buy preowned games you normally will not recieve the box which contains the UPC code which is very important for the rebates.

Electronics Boutique has a $25 rebate form. Use this with Nintendo's $25 rebate, to guarantee yourself of a $99 GC.

If you received $0 MSN Rewards for your online Circuit City order that you placed for In Store pickup, you may want to contact Circuit City customer support. They may compensate you for the missing MSN Rewards. I'm sure it is a case by case basis.

Now either Nintendo is seriously not going to give everyone from here there rebates or he's just pulling everyones chain, hopefully the later. I sent him another email tonight regarding places that have offers, yet still advertise the Nintendo rebate on top of it and also on FOA Schwarz $119.99 sale price, tho shipping and tax sux from there. Seems it takes Nintendo a day to reply. I'll keep everyone posted.

Have you heard anything from Nintendo about the FAO sale price?

I'm actually getting worried about the "not valid with other offers or discounts" language on the rebate form. Nintendo can be the kind of company that will actually enforce something like that. That language in addition to the posts on this thread with communication from Nintendo make me a little worried. I'd hate to have to cut up my box and the backs of 5 of my games to see that the rebate was not honored. This is all in addition to buying all this stuff that I otherwise would not have bought.

If you purchased it today then you are still within the rebate period. Today is the last day to get in on the rebate.
