LOL, and then you had to beat it AGAIN to see the real ending. I used to play Contra so much, I could actually beat the game w/o using the 30 life cheat. Man, those were the days...
i liked mario 1, when i first got it when i was 4, my sister was showing it to me, and she was talking about the flowers, and for some reason i thought she meant the flower that you bake with, and since then i've had this image of a sack of flour when it comes to the flowers in that game.
Never actually started playing video games until SNES, but I remember Super Mario Bros 2. That game was a trip, watching people play, getting so p*ssed off, and bouncing the controller off the TV set.......:Q -kd5-
btw did any of you crystalis players get the uber sword and instead of finishing the game just go back to the world and hack away with it...nothing could stop you, that was alot of fun to do.
And for us wargamers there was this little known NATO vs U.S.S.R. game called Conflict. Now that game was incredible for it's day! Super Conflict for the SNES sucked though.
beating games w/o losing a life (Contra, Gradius, Super Mario, etc.)
beating Mike Tyson!...WOOHOO!!...or, anyone remember the code to just go straight to Mike Tyson?..i used to know it...
i recall going back to the homeland and coming back with all these games, cartidges with 10 games in'em...or even 20-100 games in 1...pretty cool...
Super Mario Bros. 2 in asia was different from the one they released in the states, and was it part 3 where the asian version was harder being that if you got hit, you lose everything and become small instead of losing only the cape?
finally making it to the minus world in Super Mario Bros, i believe in level 1-2...
<< Excitebike, I could build tracks all day with massive jumps >>
i think i am going to cry.
why can't they make such amazing games anymore? Nintendo relied on gameplay and only gameplay since graphics sucked back then...so the games were amazing. Games today just suck ass...

You got that right, Kami. I'm really glad I never sold any of my old stuff, it's all still here. I've always loved going back to old games and playing them again, and I knew if I'd gotten rid of them they'd be gone forever. Still have dozens of NES and SNES games and the systems under my TV in the cabinet. I'll never let them go.
Man my fav nintendo games were DragonWarrior 1,2, Super Dodgeball, turtles II, metroid, super spike vball, commandos, bionic commanando, castlevania, ice hockey, etc i could keep on going, but I don't want to
