Way more than enough here in Toronto. The few Best Buys I checked in the afternoon at launch day still had at least 1/4 of their shipments.

I may have to camp out at the Best Buy near Scarborough Town Centre since that was where the guys that bought the 360 and destroyed it in the parking lot. I wonder how long it will take them to destroy the Wii?

Pre-ordered my Wii at Gamestation in the UK yesterday. Price £179. I was second on the list at the store, after the nine staff orders!

8th of December is only three weeks after the initial launch date, so I'm happy with that.

Nintendo World Store starts preorders Thursday, I think I'm going to go there for a preorder. Should be a safe bet that if I'm on that list, I will get one on release day!

2 million worldwide and 1 million in the US at launch. If there's going to be a shortage, I think it'll be an artificial shortage caused by people hoping to make a profit on eBay. You have to also consider that Nintendo expects to have 4 million shipped by the end of the calendar year and 6 million shipped by the end of March. You're also dealing with people who are buying the cheapest system of the three by a good margin - I think they'll be willing to wait a couple of weeks for the second shipment to come. I also think a lot of people will have a "wait and see" attitude about the controller, although that may change if reviews come out before launch.

Edit: That's 1 million in North America, not just the US. US, Canada, Mexico, and I think Columbia (which is not in North America...)

Not sure, but they sold 1.5 million by the end of the first year.

That sounds like a reasonable number considering that their plan was to have multiple small shipments instead of one large shipment so there wouldn't be a long period of time when they were unavailable. That's about 40% of the total sold in NA by the end of the year (900k)

Im really hoping the wii isnt tough to get, I want one just to play myself. The ebay flippers can fight over the ps3s.
