So I hurriedly got in on one of these the other day for a friend and was planning on returning the games, then saw a majority of the games were going to take a couple of weeks to arrive. I guess they're pre-orders?

Well, I couldn't afford to have so much money tied up in games over the next couple of weeks so I tried to cancel it; I even tried calling customer service, but it was too far along. (It was in the processing stage)

Today I got an e-mail for shipment notification for one of the games and the system, but when I check my order status at Wal-Mart.com it says all the other games have been cancelled...

I haven't been charged yet, although it looks like it's pending, hopefully I'm only charged for the system and one game.

I guess it may be a way to get around the bundle, but I'd imagine if you do it too soon you might lose your system...

I'll let you guys know what I'm charged...

This sounds good. I ordered the bundle and 7 of 8 games re pre-orders. The console shipping today or tomorrow, so if I call after console ships asking to cacel remainder of order... it might work... I guess it's worth a shot, eh?

I keep seeing this jump to the top of the hot deals list and keep thinking "Oh, it's back in stock?". Then, I read the summary and think "Ok, it's not". But then I start thinking "What if it is and they just haven't changed the summary yet".

The moral of the story is: Stop responding to this, people! =P

There's no way all 8 of those are $50 games. They're just trying to get more money out of it. Just wait all of two weeks for someone to have a normal retail wii.

If you guys are serious about getting one, definately go to Best Buy this Sunday again about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs before opening and get in line. They have been getting large quantities on Sunday lately. 30-60 in most locations.

Just stop... the hotdeals forum is my homepage, so everytime I open my browser I see this thread and get all excited for nothing. I've been running This for the past week in the hopes of something popping up and being in stock long enough for me to jump on it. No luck. I have heard a number of retailers have been sitting on their deliveries of Wiis until this Sunday, including Target, BestBuy, Toys R Us, and Circuit City. I for one will be up early and waiting outside my local target about an hour before it opens on Sunday. The stress of looking for one has really taken it's toll on me. God help a flipper if he gets one and I don't, I doubt he'd make it back to his car in one piece.

I know a few flippers who are actually holding on their PS3 and Wiis until about a week before Christmas and hoping the demand goes crazy. Apparently both PS3 and Wii prices have fallen.

Guess I'll go store hopping on Sunday again.

Okay, I had a pending charge on my account for the $741.73 total that was originally due, that was stuck for a few days.

Now it finally posted payment just under $360 for the console and one game. (+tax and shipping) I got the console yesterday, they still charged me the full shipping amount it seems. (It was $32 something for just the console) But I'll take that for not having to deal with all those other games.

I got one today here from Target in Irvine, CA. I was 30 in line, (got there around 6:40). They had only limited amount of games and no controllers. They were handing out tickets and they are now sold out, there was probably around 100-150 consoles. No bundled crap, just the console plain and simple.

It appears flipping the Wii is still good business. The eBay prices for the Wii have a higher ratio (original price compared to mark-up) than the PS3. Which is odd considering the PS3 is rarer.

Looks like I'll be waiting until after XMas.

2 best buys in NJ (west paterson and seacaucus) had NO WIIs whatsoever. Due to that I missed out camping at target which had more units and was closer to home.

In short, best buy sucks.

Target in Aurora, IL had 4

Toys R' Us in Aurora, near Fox Valley, had 39. They handed out tickets at 7:30AM to the 30 people standing in line at that time. Suffice to say they were all gone by the time the store opened. Since I have a 3 month old I wasn't in line, and still don't have one. :/

Worst part is the flippers are still strong. 1st kid in line was trying to sell his ticket for $100, and a guy in the store was trying to sell his for $200.

I got to the target near my home around 7:30am and there was a line of about 40 people, mostly gamers and housewives. Five minutes before they opened someone in line told us that they had already handed out vouchers for the 27 Wiis they had in stock. I confirmed this but the damage was already done. I tried two other walmarts, one other target, and Toys R Us, best Buy, and Circuit City, all with no luck. Aparently, four people had actually camped out overnight at the first target store. Where are all the Wiis! At this point, I think I'll just have to wait until after Christmas when most parents will be getting their credit card bills and are far less likely to be buying their kids anything.

We will need to see after XMas how many consoles Nintendo actually sold. I've been watching eBay to see how much a Wii goes for the second the auction expires. It averages around $450. That's a $200 profit.

Yeah, flipping is still going strong and a good number of the consoles bought are solely for resale. The fact is it is a low risk "investment" for these people, because the jerk that has 9 Wiis is going to just return the 7 he can't flip.

There will plenty of Wiis after XMas after the flippers have all given up and returned them. Too bad that means a Wii you buy may have been all molested by a flipper. Ewwww!

You need to show up earlier than that, I would recommend trying again next Sunday and go at least 1 1/2 - 2 hours early. My wife went to the Target in Lynnwood, WA this last Sunday at about 7:10am (they opened at 8am) and she got ticket 29 out of 41 so our search is over. There were tons of people in line behind her that showed up 1/2 hour or less before opening.

You may try talking to the manager of your local Target next Saturday, he may let you know how many units he is releasing Sunday morning.

I saw where Newegg is giving away "two Wii's per day" on their site. Strange thing when you click on the link to show winners it only lists seven in the past two weeks.

I did the Walmart bundle, and received my Wii within a week but only 1 of the games shipped. I called up their their customer service and they allowed me to cancel all of the games that hadn't shipped! So if anyone else is in the same boat and doesn't want to mess with returning them in store once they *eventually* arrive, just call.

Sad thing is the people that actually want one for themselves to use and keep can not get one with everyone trying to make a buck by buying them and trying to ebay them.

Yeah seriously, I've been bugging the crap outta Rhino, EB, and a couple other places, camping out there waiting on the UPS guy with their new shipments, etc.

I have no desire whatsoever to Ebay one (either purchase or sell) I just want to get one for my kid, it's the only present he asked for, the ONLY thing. He wants a Wii and I want to get him one. Wish Santa luck!
