Revolution good for the Western Market, Wii for the Asian. Shame on Ninty for lumbering us with the name Wii.

Thanks to Nintendo, this heavily repressed music video (not for work) came back to the forfront of my mind. Gonads in the lightning! I think there will be this mental block to purchasing this console now.

Man, who cares what they call it, it's going to be a badass controller and a strangely badass console.

You're not gonna say "Sorry, can't come out I'm playing with my wii" (aside from it sounding like some sort of depraved sexual act) you'd probably say something like "Hoorah! Another good console from Nintendo!" and promptly jump back into a sword fight you started previously.

Nintendo claims wii reflects the goal of the console as something thats accessible and fun for everyone not just gamers.

Wii don't need no education!

Nintendo is doing something different and refreshing which is exactly what the console market needs. Innovation will last a lot longer than eye-candy. The name isn't that important but it still makes me Wii my pants.

Just thought about this. Wii is coming from the same company who called their last generation graphics chip Flipper (Gamecube by ATI). Maybe they're just regressing with words, in which case their next-next generation will be ma ma.

it was flipper because the console was code-named dolphin.

it words just as well as G70 for a code name. or E90. or anything else.



anyway, this console will sell, because you can have sword fights.

They WILL change the name for the NA market. I can assure that. Once they see the feedback from the name, they will probably change it to Revolution.
