There is a certain feeling that nintendo consoles do not give you as opposed to Sony/Microsoft, but there is also a certain warm fuzzy feeling that can only be obtained with nintendo.

I think this will apply also to this new generation.

If you can afford it, get a Wii and a PS3/X360!!!

They just showed a demonstration of three Wii consoles using the controller in different ways on a Montreal television morning show. The guy playing Zelda had two controllers, one for the sword, the other for the shield. Looks very nice and I think you could work a sweat fighting bosses in this fashion. The lady playing a car race had the remote horizontal and was holding it like a steering wheel, tilting it forward and backwards to alter speed. Another was playing tennis and swinging the remote like a racket.

There's a big Quebec arcade convention called Arcadia in the next few days and that will include several Wii consoles for people to try, which would be the first such opportunity in the world supposedly.

Uh,.... from what I've read,.... a little bit better than the Xbox,....... not the Xbox 360.

its not going to be anywhere near the xbox360 or ps3... i think its gonna be kinda cartoony..like lookin good but not quite the realism that the other consoles are going for

its main selling point will be the motion sensor remote and gameplay

Should I get Ultimate Alliance for Wii or PS2? I would imagine that graphics would be similair. I am not sure if the Wii version uses the motion control remote and if it does, can you use without the remote.

Maybe red steel too. Looks good but unsure of controls yet (want to see how zelda plays out). To an extent, excite truck. I really hope the controls are good because I want metroid when it comes out. COD3 maybe. I never thought I'd be going for first/third person games on a console... hell, I never thought I'd buy another console

I'm curious as to what release day is going to be like. It sounds like Nintendo is going to have a larger number of units for release vs. Sony for the PS3. Do you think it will be possible to get your hands on one with out a preorder?

They have a site that claims they have teh allotments of wiis for target. One target near me is getting 120, but another is only getting 20.....So it really depnds where you are.

I have a feeling that we may be suprised this time around. I think at this time of the year , you'll see a lot of parents typically are picking this up for their kids for Christmas. And when they see that controller , they may be scared of it...then again. what do I know.
I'm not going to pre-order. I'll be crossing my fingers though.
