Nissan's and Infiniti's new line of cars has the potential to pull a big market share away from their competitors. It should be interesting and the competition is always good for us the consumers.

Quality sells.

And nicer interiors, overall. Most domestics still have that cheesy plastic look and feel.

Next car for me is an A4/A6 or the G35...no doubt in my mind.

good. I like the way they look/sound/feel better than any domestic car I've ever driven.
I'd buy a honda/nissan/toyota anyday over a chevy or ford.

"Implied quality" sells. And every Nissan I've ever been in has seemed to have a cheesy interior. I've been happy with the domestics.

Good for Nissan. Maybe this will continue to force the American automakers to build better cars. I believe Detroit has the potential, they just aren't living up to it. I would love to feel confident when I buy an American car again.

I've been seriously looking at a Murano. Yep, to replace the good old Crown Vic. Watch out Ford!

Nissan has dirt cheap interiors, and their quality ratings are worse than the Big 3. No thanks. They can keep their 4.7% market share. hehe.

I rented a Nissan Sentra recently and my sister has a Honda Civic LX (that I sold to her when I worked at a Honda dealer earlier this year).

Compared to, say, a Ford Focus, Chevy Cavalier, etc., there's no contest. The imports are way better looking inside and outside.

I own a Nissan (pathfinder).... it's still going strong, despite constant abuse. I'd buy another Nissan any day, except the pathfinder's cargo area is a bit on the small side... just a little too narrow to carry plywood and stuff.

Nissan interiors may not be up to snuff with Toyota and Honda, but they are leaps and bounds ahead of domestics...especially GM.

There was a review of Nissan's flagship Infiniti G35 Coupe at Autoweek today. Most of the owners complain of how cheap the interior is.

Does Nissan have any interiors as nice as this? That's right. Never have, never will.

The funny thing for an outsider like me is that Nissan is controlled by the "evil French-Axis-Of-Weasel" car maker Renault

Blech...too bulky looking.

Besides, it's $75k+!!

And it has a Consumer Rating of 4.3

People bashing GM interiors: Dunno about now, but my 96 S-10 has a wonderful interior. Graceful and durable. (Black and gray... dunno about the other colors) Blew away every other truck I checked out before I bought it. Still no cracks or tears or anything on the interior.

Yeah, if you like Lego interiors, I guess it's OK. Go look at a Tundra or Tacoma (hell, the Frontier even), then come back and tell me that the '96 S-10 has a "wonderful" interior.

Are you joking? The XLR has leather in places where that thing just has cheap vinyl. Real aluminum, where that thing has plastic. And the central console on that thing is so insanely busy and retarded looking it's not even funny.

I think the Q45's interior looks better myself.
Edit: and that's real wood, real leather, and real brushed aluminum.

Of course, I'd take the XLR over the Q45 in a heartbeat. Folding hardtop on a C6 chassis... yes please!

That IS real aluminum on the FX45 and there is butter soft leather everywhere from the seats to the doors. The XLR's interior looks like it should be in a truck/SUV, not a sports car.
