I really don't get the $10k over sticker dealers. There are a good number on the Corvette Forum that are selling them at MSRP. Give it a year and they will be going for invoice.

They would let you order one at MSRP, I guess it's $10k for instant gratification.

If I'm spending that kind of money though I won't be pulling one off the showroom floor. It better be exactly the configuration I want if I'm paying MSRP.

I didn't have the dealer detail it, but I gave it a good 30 minute inspection and found a spot of paint haze that I made them document in case it doesn't just wax out. So far it looks like it will. I went out at 7 this morning and took some Maguires liquid wax to the spot after I cleaned it off. It's coming out, but I want to wait until it is bright out so I can see when it is fully out.

So far, I'm impressed. Majorly. There is quite a break in period, and the tach adjusts the redline to match, so right now, my red line is at 4500 (I don't know if this is enforced, or just indicated on the gauges), and I'm babying the car. It's so hard not to just flog it to death immediately. The thing I will have to get used to is the impression of speed. You're so low to the ground that you feel like you're going faster than I am used to, so I have to recalibrate myself where I can properly gauge my speed.

So far though, it's amazing.

Pics will be later, after it gets light out, and if I bother, instead of just driving the thing!

The ride is wonderful, and that's what I was hoping for. Enough customization that I can take long trips with comfort (not possible on the gt 500 with the performance package), but tighten it up for performance driving. It has that, and I a pleased.

Dealers around here have them in stock. Might have to swing by a dealer and check one out. I've driven Vettes before so I know what they are like and this one seems to be the best yet.

Haha! Even though I was the only car there, I'm trained well (even though it put that white line reflection in the car).

I'm having to learn the car dimensions for parking, but the rear view camera field of view is wide enough that I can see if I'm hanging out the back of a spot.

Car got its first cleaning. Now it can show its face in public tomorrow

i'm mixed on the green. In your pic it looks great. But I've seen some where its very dark, and to me it doesn't work then.

then again I like it in yellow. So take my comments as you wish.
