I love it. It's now not pitch black when I leave for work. I haven't had an issue with it being dark when I get off since my son was born since I leave work around 2pm every day. I get home from work and the gym and I still have plenty of daylight.

I hate the whole clock change thing but putting them back does not mess me up but putting them forward does, so I'll save my complaining for spring time.

I do like the fact that getting up now is like getting up an hour later. So I'm slightly less tired. It's going back to getting up earlier that is always a hard transition, since your body starts to get used to the new time.

Either way it's pitch black before and after work, nothing is going to change that except for making work days 5 hours.

Doesn't matter. I couldn't finish my ride before "run over" time so we might as well fuck up everyone else's life.

I prefer DST as it puts the east coast (where our head office is located) three hours ahead instead of two. Bless the czar and keep the czar… far from us.

Things are as they should be. Nothing to complain about. I'll be complaining in the spring when the government throws sand in the gears.

I just do what I always do: protest the time changes by not observing them.

I'm not a morning person. Not having to get up an hour early is much better than having that blazing orb thing in the sky. Electric light is your friend!

Honestly all the people/companies that say they absolutely want this DST thing because of the way they operate should just change their own operating hours twice a year. But since the discovery of electricity this should not even be an issue.

I like it better when we turn the clocks back rather than forward, but I wish we would just choose one and stick to it - probably forward as it's nice getting home from work when it's still light out.

I absolutely hate conference/appointment calls from other States. If you're going to contact me at a specific time, tell me your time or my time and don't call me in the middle of lunch because it's convenient for you when you xxxing know I'm a Chef.

Is that actually still a thing? I know of no company that profits form this system today: DST was devised primarily for the petroleum industry, IIRC, and Weimarch Germany first made it national and saw great success with cost savings in oil transport due to the logistics of the time...but that paradigm hasn't existed in more than 40 years, AFAIK (pipelines!)

All I have ever read or heard is that the actual reason for DST is completely obsolete today. Today, it doesn't do anything for the actual reasons that it was adopted and actually worked very well for a few decades, and so the benefit is inherently neutral.

The sun set last night and I went to sleep some time after that. It came up again today and I woke up.

That's all that matters.
