No Fortron on ZZF...

I was planning on getting my entire parts list for my new gaming rig from newegg. however, im now thinking ZZF. problem is zzf has no Fortron power supplies. i was planning on the fortron 450 at newegg for $50. is there anything even close in quality at that price at newegg or should i place a seperate order just for the Fortron PS?? i was hoping to get everything i needed from one place.

What's the rest of your build look like? It's hard to recommend a PSU without knowing what components you're getting.

Fortron offers a nice psu, but so do a handful of other mfg's. I see some nice Antec and Enermax units on ZZF.

i really wanted to go with Fortron. Anything comparable at ZZF to the Fortron 450 at Newegg at $50?? Looks like my only option in the price range is the Antec SmartPower 2.0 450W and thats $17 more than the Fortron.

I see no reason to get everything from the same place. I can understand why you wouldn't want to buy from 10 different places, but 2 or 3 is fairly normal. One store isn't going to have everything you want and have it at the lowest price.

go with a Sparkle PSU...make Fortrons or Fortron makes Sparkle...can't remember which. Similar if not the same PSU.

Also, I believe AOpen PSUs are made by Fortron.

WOW...great price on the case. My main reason for wanting to shop all in one place is i know im getting everything i need at the same time. plus, i know newegg and zzf are reliable. then, the aggravation of having to watch out for multiple boxes coming at different times. what if the place im getting the case from goes back ordered on it, yet ive got everything else... i know its probably gonna be a bit cheaper, but, by how much for how much aggravation.

i kinda figured newegg and zzf would have the best prices overall anyways... but maybe not. ill have to price everything separately and see how much it really saves me. what do you guys use as the best price finders... and, how do i know if the place with the lowest price is reliable etc...

That's all? Check this out, I'm upgrading my niece's computer. I ordered that same case from provantage, a motherboard from newegg, and a processor from monarch, all on sunday evening. All 3 are supposed to arrive thursday.

I'm guessing that the fedex shipments will come from the same van, around 10am (usual fedex time for me), and I'll have the CPU around 1pm (usual ups time for me)

ZZF is the way to go. Newegg charges me sales tax here in TN, plus usually costs more.

You can grab it on Amazon also for a lower price than that. Their price fluctuates, but it seems it was around $43.99 last week.
