No Man's Sky Refunds!

surprised even 3k people wanted to play this game. Though they still won't give me my refund.

From a peak of 200K to averaging 4K this month, I don't think I've ever seen such a massive drop off.

Chart isnt that shocking.

lmao. They deserve it. The game underdelivered even if you ignore the hype. I haven't played since about 4 days after release, and haven't had it installed for over two weeks.

Yet games like Mad Max has increased but NMS has dropped more than most games usually do considering it came out just over a month ago. Hell Mad Max has just as many players now as it did a year ago. Even LOTR has increased. If anything it appears huge drops in play are not the norm for most games.

I've noticed a pattern though. I'm also in the camp that I got pretty much what I expected, and while I wouldn't consider it worth $60 I'm certainly not upset about it. However, I also based this opinion mostly on gameplay vids and trailers. I didn't really read or watch any developer interviews, and that's where a lot of the "evidence" seems to be coming from when people want refunds. Focusing only on the handful of videos I saw, I wasn't terribly surprised with how it turned out... but I was actually surprised with some of the things people were expecting, and didn't know where those expectations came from. After seeing some of the interviews I originally ignored I began to understand, and am glad I didn't follow that side of the hype or I might have been just as disappointed.

I watched both the gameplay trailers (prior to release) and the dev videos, and given what was shown in the gameplay videos it looked utterly boring and uninspired. They never showed any of the things he claimed which set off red flags. Glad I went with my gut.
