I thought NMH2 was disappointing. The graphics were undeniably better, but the bosses barely had time to jump on the screen before you killed them, compared to the long-winded monologues of the first game (which I liked); they're almost all named like normal people instead of the cool assassin names of the first game, like Destroyman or Dark Star. The first game felt epic at times, this one felt... abreviated. The cut out the grind of the assassination missions in the first game in favor of retro 8-bit games that are purely optional, but some of them are too difficult (like the game to upgrade Travi's strength... the last level is impossible to pass). You can buy clothes, but there are only two light sabers to buy and no upgrades, so there's nothing really worth spending money on. Fights in general are harder, blocking doesn't work as well as before, and the chainsaw enemies are annoying. Cut scenes are nowhere near as insane as the first game, so it feels like Suda 51 was phoning it in a bit. The game isn't completely worthless, but it's definetly not worth $50, more like $15-20. I can't see myself replaying the game, though I'm still intending to replay the first game at some point.
