Was poking around on the JEDEC site, and I only see DDR5 on their roadmap, nothing about ratifying anything higher than DDR4 2667MHz.
Obviously, there are DDR4 DIMMs out there that say they support 3200MHz (or higher), so, one has to wonder, how are they arriving at the specs?
We got multiple vendors, and some are using different chips, so, without any input from JEDEC it is no wonder than it is more difficult to support all the different 3200MHz RAM out there.
ETA for DDR5 is 2020.
I would have just assumed that JEDEC would be on top of this by now.
