I remember how conservatives were up in arms, calling Obama an elitist because he went to vacation on Martha's Vineyard. How times have changed.
Because anything Orange Julius Caesar does is fine with then even if it is a direct contradiction with thir position for the pas 8 years.

As long as the Negro is out of office.

I wonder if those people will offer their wives/girlfriend up for them to be fingered by the current POTUS. You know he likes that and its perfectly fine.

I wouldn't care if he goes to Mar-a-lago ever single weekend if he pays for it. He is a "billionaire" shouldn't be too expensive for him. He said he didn't want to take any compensation.

He is not paying for it, is the point. He's blowing money on non stop vacations every weekend so fast it is ridiculous.

And he is profiting from it on the taxpayers dime.

How understanding you are being. I wonder what you would be saying if this was Obama. So, Trump raises the fees for his club and then proceeds to spend 3 weekends there. And you don't think those 2 things are coincidental? Trump is a grafter. There is nothing in his life that should suggest otherwise.

I said the same thing earlier in this very thread.

BTW my opinion is unchanged its the President's right to do what they choose. This doesn't mean the President and family can go anywhere without it becoming tacky but I certainly don't want Congress deciding if the President can leave the White House.
I'm also OK with more people joining Trumps club because he is the President and people want to be around him. I'll draw the line at using Public funds to advertise the place or weird shenanigans to capture more land to expand the place. Neither of these appear to be occurring at this moment.

Actually he has filed several lawsuits against the nearby airport about them flying over or near the resort trying to get them to reroute planes as well as trying to block the construction of an additional runway. Now that he is president there will be a no-fly zone around it while he is there. I'm pretty sure that the airport had to completely shut down for two weekends already. I guess this is a technicality and Trump has evidently loved staying there before he became president so I'm not sure it would be quite fair to say that he is purposely using his position to do this but still...

I get it but that falls under my tacky description. I *think* when a business is shut down for a Presidential visit they can get reimbursed but regardless its tacky if the President constantly requires that air field be closed by trivial visits.

I know we are. I am saying if he pays all the expenses. ALL OF THEM.

I certainly don't want to be paying for him to promote his 200k a year club every weekend.
lol, the fucker won't even pay some young kids to sing and dance for him, you think he's going to dole out some real money on his trips down to florida?

Let's cut him some slack with the freedom kids(?). Seems like Freedom Dad made some major assumptions about what he'd get.

Check this article out he is landing at a smaller regional airport, Palm Beach county Airport, Lantana. Folks are not happy about it.

Palm Beach County aviation head: Trump flight limits will hurt airport

"NO FLY

Planned flight restrictions when President Trump is at Mar-a-Lago:

A “no fly” zone in a 1-mile radius. Commercial flights that normally would leave or arrive on a straight line from PBIA must instead angle north or south.

A ring of 10 nautical miles bars all private planes from landing at either PBIA or Lantana unless they came from from a “gateway airport,” at which they’ve been screened by the Transportation Safety Administration. Any planes that land at Lantana can’t leave until Trump is gone.

A ring of 30 nautical miles allows only planes traveling to or from fields outside the 10 mile ring, all of those closely monitored by air traffic controllers.

Banned at Lantana during visits: all flight training, practice approaches, parachuting, and flights of aerobatic aircraft, gliders, seaplanes, ultralights, gliders and hang-gliders, balloons, and even crop-dusters. Also banned: banner-towing and sightseeing, maintenance test flights, model rockets and aircraft, utility and pipeline surveys and drones.

More ominously for Lantana: the restrictions ban from that airport, at least while Trump is in town, all flight training, practice approaches, parachuting, and flights of aerobatic aircraft, gliders, seaplanes, ultralights, gliders and hang-gliders, balloons, and even crop-dusters. The airport will be compensated, the question is; who will be the ones doing the compensation? The federal government or trumps campaign funds?

The NY Times had an article on this. The FAA restrictions are severely impacting the local airport.

For example:
■ $200,000 in lost fuel sales at a large local airport in a single four-day visit this month.
■ 75 no-shows at a new restaurant in just one night.
■ $60,000 a day to pay overtime to sheriff’s deputies who guard the many closed roads, a tab that is about $1.5 million over all since the election.
■ 250 private flights grounded every day.

Several impacted business are saying they may have to close.

Even if the airport is compensated what about all of the small businesses that need that airport - the tourism stuff, sky diving, etc? I doubt they will get compensated.

I don't know how compensation works but my guess is if they can make the case that they were impacted then they will get paid.

Oh no, a bunch of conservative inbred redneck pilots and parachutists, most of whom voted Trump, lose the ability to use their airport. Besides the resultant increase in safety to other land-based inbred rednecks from all the fewer crashes we'll no doubt have as a result of these grounded florida men pilots, where exactly is the downside to this?

While it sucks for those directly impacted by the PB airport fiasco, it's just a glimpse into what will be the story for his entire administration (however long it lasts). And that is "fuck everyone but Trump". The more this happens, and the sooner, the better. People that were conned into believing he's some man of the people need to see and hear these things. He doesn't care about anyone but himself.

The core of trump supporters weren't conned, they knew exactly what they were getting. They wanted someone that would destroy the system and he's doing just that.
