Just rebuilt my computer and upgraded to Vista. Using Realtek HDA driver updated on 8/31/09. Everything checks out ok in Device Manager and the test sounds come through loud and clear using the Realtek Audio Manager program but, I get no sounds while performing normal Windows functions and can't play music using Windows Media Player. There's only one audio setting in the bios: choices are AUTO and Disabled - its set to AUTO. I raised all the output levels I can find to MAX using the speaker management wizard built into Windows. I removed the ATI HDMI Sound driver using device manager.
My board is a Gigabyte GA-EP43-UD3L.
I'm at a loss here. If anyone has any other suggestions I'd appreciate your input.
Thanks,
