No SX830 cases.......alternatives?

I can't find anybody online or local that has the Antec SX830 in stock and for less than $120 after shipping. Everyone with a halfway decent price is out of stock. Can anybody offer some suitable alternatives? I want a 300W power supply and would like 3 external 5.25" bays and 2 external 3.5" bays (for internal zip drive+floppy). This is for a Thunderbird or Duron system (haven't decided which yet) that I would like to overclock some so cooling will be a concern. Other than that, I just want a well built case. I have an Enlight 7237 at work and am not the least bit impressed by its quality.

You'll need a 5.25" to 3.5" adapater to fit your zippy in....but it's about the same size as the SX830 (I think the SX830 is Antec's full tower isn't it?)

That would definitely work as far as bays goes (I think I still have the 5.25" adapter for my zip drive). It is 3" taller than the SX830 and not as deep. What does it come with for fans? I didn't see any fans listed on Inwin's website.

Does anybody know of any other cases I should be looking at? I could get the SX830 from one of the more expensive places ($99+shipping), but I'm wondering if it's overkill at that price. I want a versatile case that I can use for years to come, but the computer I'm building now won't be anything spectacular (Duron 700-800 or T-bird 800 hopefully OC to 900-1000).

the 292-3333 from AMK is about $130 w/s&h, but if you're looking to oc and want to control the heat, this case does an excellent job. 4 fans, 300 watt ps, 3 & 3 external drive bays that have easy out options for quick removal.

If you can't get the 830 then get a more top of the line model from Antec. I have the 830 and I have NEVER even seen a better case. I will not buy any other brand other than Antec, their quality is just too high for me to pass up.

I'm now considering the Antec KS282 + PP303X case from microbarn for $59+shipping. I'd like to have more bays, but for the price difference, I'm wondering if the 830 is worth it. Does anybody know how the KS282 fares with heat for OCing? It at least has the same power supply as the 830. Or should I just cough up the extra dough for the 830? Thanks for all the help!

I'm sooooo glad I bought my Antec SX830 from onvia almost a year ago.

When deciding on a case, my choices were the Antec, the Addtronics 6896, and the Chenbro Genie. I decided to go cheap and get the Antec, even though I really wanted the other two much more. For 65 shipped from Onvia, I can't really complain though.

One complaint I have is that the case fans are loud on the 830. I have a tile floor... maybe that's amplifying it.

I just went over to MicroX-press and put an SX830 in my cart and with shipping it came out to $117.20. Am I missing something? I don't see how it could get down to $100 after shipping. Do they have a coupon or something floating around?

don't u think the Antec SX1030(b) is a lot nicer of a case????...

it's $80 online, USA...check pricewatch....i did..it's located at two places for that price.

You know... (in your heart, lol) that in the long run, waiting a few weeks or looking around for an SX830 or just shelling out the extra $$ is worth it. You will regret it if you don't get the SX830

I passed it up on Onvia when it was $81... I finally decided to buy when it got back in stock at $86... and now its $110 and out of stock at Onvia... I sure am glad I took the plunge.

Gotta pipe in with my two cents: the 830 rules. I was blown away by the quality when I built my new 'puter. Definitely the best case I've ever used. (Got mine from onvia when it was $81 shipped.)
