Not going to waste my time. I'll catch the clips later. The Phillies were more worth watching tonight. Great action 9th and 10th innings.
Nor do I have the stomach for this ongoing shitshow with a seriously deranged mentally ill asshole as the featured attraction. Combined with the utter insanity of his followers, I just can't fathom how this country has any tolerance for this mainstream mental illness.

Didn't bother to watch the twice impeached, indicted for fraud, successfully sued for defamation, and sexual assault, former president's, town hall. So this is really no surprise if you have watched the Orange Menace long enough.

Also, CNN can eat a bags of Ds.

This was a test. A CNN test. Actually, a media test to see if Trump could indeed bring in the ratings during the next 18 months as Trump did back in 2015-16. Remember, this was a "republican town hall", and those attending were "republicans" hand picked by CNN. Think of it as Club 54 for the maga. So, what did we expect? Trump still whining about 2020, Trump still calling opponents names like Ron DeSanctimonious. Nothing new there. Trump did refer to his past enemy Lindsey Graham as "a good guy", and referred to once hated Mike Pence also as a good guy. I figure that Trump figures he will need all the help he can get for 2024, yes even the support of Mike Pence the once hunted like a dog.

Folks....
This is what to expect as the 2024 president campaign gears up. Trump being Trump, the media loving it every minute of it, and all opponents i.e. Joe Biden Ron DeSanctimonious and all the rest ignored by the media and left in the dust. All the media cares about is pushing Donald Trump, the Howard Stern of presidential politics. Millions tune into Howard Stern and millions will vote for Donald Trump. Nothing has changed. The hate for democrats still there with the voters, the hate of Biden still there, the media more than willing to take a big crap on themselves to promote ratings, nothing has changed.

But anyhow, I did watch because I believe in knowing what the other side is up to. You need to know your enemy. Knowledge is power. To be informed and aware is power. Even if the other side makes you sick, still you need to know everything they are up to.

However... I have no claims to be physic nor clairvoyant, but Trump seemed different to me. He seemed to show the stress. Frankly, his health I would question far before Joe Biden's health. Trump may not live long enough to know if he was or was not reelected in 2024. And this makes it that much more important to see who Trump chooses as his running mate. People fear Kamala Harris inheriting the throne, I think it more likely that Trump's VP will inherit the throne after Trump is found dead in his Whitehouse bed a few days after reelected. Remember that new Pope who died before becoming the new Pope?

CNN went full Jerry Springer Trump for ratings!

They'll milk it for years!

So is there a boycott CNN movement afoot or what?
I think Trump did well, and it's going to be entertaining to see him and Dark Brandon duke it out next year.
You feel like Trump did well. But if you think he did well, tell us what he said that was factually true or influences your opinion that he has anyone's interest in mind other than saving his own ass from the consequences of the twisted shit that comes from his mouth.

I am still of the opinion that Trump will not be the nominee considering the numerous indictments he’s going to be facing but if he is I don’t think it would be ‘entertaining’.

Remember, this is the guy who attempted a coup and when that failed incited an insurrection that got people killed. He’s now running on the idea of ‘retribution’ against those who attempted to stop the insurrection, and he is once again saying he won’t abide by election results that don’t favor him so that probably means a second coup attempt.

Does that seem entertaining, or does that sound like someone we should be working hard to imprison?

Honestly im going to be really interested to see how how mr 80 year old 300 pound big mac even survives a campaign schedule. Id be amazed if he keeps up with the presidential campaign schedule. That would exhaust me and im 40 years younger and in better shape. No way a dude with a secret service call sign of "coronary heart disease" keeps up that pace without a heart attack or stroke.

Not to mention he's going to be doing that while defending himself from (likely) three separate criminal indictments.

Amusingly he further incriminated himself in the town hall by saying he purposefully took the classified documents that were found at Mar a Lago. Before they had floated the idea he didn't know he had them but now that avenue is closed off. His sole remaining defense seems to be that he psychically declassified them and didn't tell anyone.

It is a very weird opinion to have where you look at a sociopathic criminal who attempted to overthrow the government and say to yourself that it will be entertaining to watch him try it again.
This is what happens when people think reality TV is real. I have no idea how you watch a guy acting like a school yard bully, doing nothing but lying, watching people laugh about rape, and think "he did well, I want him to be president."

It's getting pretty late for any of these criminal trials to actually occur before the election. I'm not holding my breath, in this area @MrSquished is correct, we are going to slow roll and pussy foot these investigations so much we are going to let a person that attempted to end democracy run again.

I don't think anyone has ever thought the trials would conclude before the election - I definitely have never seen someone make that claim. Also, even if he were convicted that would have zero effect on his ability to run for president and that's a good thing.

What those indictments will do is hang like a millstone around his neck, and Republicans are already very worried that he can't win.

Oddly enough, while I've never liked Trump, I found him engaging in the CNN town hall.
I don't agree with coup idea, and Trump pretty clearly demonstrated that he continually asked foe a peaceful protest. While those ideas won't wash here, it's the way I see it.
I will now get at least five outraged responses for voicing an unacceptable opinion.

The fact Trump could just repeat lie after lie, way he will pardon insurrectionists who were storming The Capitol, and then be called out for each and every lie by the moderator, then continue to talk over her while spewing lie after lie, and then calling her a nasty person for calling her out, only to have the crowd in attendance laugh and clap to all of this ... is simply mind blowing to me and just makes me think like WTF is wrong with this country? How can 65 million or whatever people voted for him, think that acting and behaving that way is okay?

I'm not sure they will weigh him down that much until the trails actually start, and I don't see them starting before the primaries start.

That’ll just motivate them to create more laws to overturn the results.

You claim he wanted peaceful protests, yet he claims he'll pardon all the unpeaceful rioters.

1) Trump tried to get Mike Pence and Republicans in Congress to throw out legitimate electoral votes from an election he lost so that he could stay in power. What do you call it when someone tries to remain in power illegally if not a coup?

2) Trump has said he will pardon the people who engaged in the insurrection. And now it is undeniably an insurrection as we just had a bunch of people convicted of insurrection.

3) You kind of deserve outraged responses here as you're trying to pretend Trump didn't try to overthrow democracy when he entirely obviously did. Again, he asked his Vice President to throw out the results of the election he lost so he could still be president! That's a coup attempt!

Wow a serial liar swears it so it must be true, trump's actions speak otherwise though he was totally cool with a violent overthrow of the election.
