Question Noctua NH-U9B SE2 92mm SSO CPU Cooler or the AMD 3700x stock cooler?

Building a new system using my donated 3700x, a MSI x570 Gaming Plus and most likely will buy the Fractal Design Meshify C case. I was going thru all my pc parts I got laying around and see I have a Noctua NH-U9B with the AM4 adapter kit and was wondering if that would be better than the stock cooler.

This system will not be overclocked and mainly used for playing WoW and just general surfing. Thanks!

The wraith cooler if your not heavily overclocking.

The reason why before the noctua fan's start shooting me, is because the wrath cooler shots air at the board, which will lead to overall a cooler running board + mosfets.

The wraith cooler is more then enough to keep your processor at stock, and even turbo cycles.

The Noctua cooler is better, but were looking at what's more efficient at your application then at performance, so id honestly go with the wraith because of the first reason i gave, which is it shots the wash air at your board, allowing more stuff to run cooler.

Yes it would be better than the stock heatsink. Regarding the stock cooler blowing air over your motherboard yes that can help but I doubt you're going to push your vrm's that hard with an 87w cpu so the Noctua would still be better.
edit: you could mount the fan facing the vrms much lower to force air over them if you're worried.

Its true it won't help much, but its still something vs nothing.
The noctua sink will either throw the wash out the rear or the top, and really won't benefit from anything.
