I ordered this three weeks ago while it was "in stock" at Buy.com, but they made a "clerical error" and didn't have any available. They said I'd have to wait at least 2wks for the next shipment. I cancelled my order and bought the Nomad II MG w/ 64mb for

I'm pretty happy with my purchase and glad I didn't get regular Nomad II w/ 0mb. The MG has a cleaner design and comes w/ a docking station, rechargable batteries, and 64mb built-in w/ a slot for more memory. The only thing MG II doesn't have is a wired remote, but you can buy one if you really need it. All things considered, I think the MG is a better value.

Also consider that the 128mb firmware update for the Nomad II w/ 0mb is only a beta version and has bugs. The release date was pushed back several times and its still only a beta version. It's also the last of all the Nomads models to get 128mb support. My guess is that Creative is scaling back it's support for this model and putting it's efforts in Nomad II w/ memory, the MG's, and the Jukebox, all of which sell better. The Creative staff won't admit it, but the Nomad II w/ 0mb will probably be discountinued soon.
