i think this is a good deal, i picked one up at staples b&m they had 3 more left. This is the 32meg version but it comes with a nice set of headphones, the remote, a leather carying case for $130. use the $20 off B&M coupon to get it to $110 plus tax, better than the version staples has on their site because it has internal memory so you have a slot free already to add, but the online one has external memory, means memory swaping =(. Have you got the SKU for this at B&M because the website only has the version with 64MB SMartmedia for $149.99

edit: I want to try and call before I have to drive miles to staples.

easy... upgrade the firmware and then add a 128MB SmartMedia card from newegg ($70 + $4 shipping) - you get a total of 160MB.

If that's still not enough, use WMA instead of MP3 for encoding. 96kps WMA gave me good enough quality that I couldn't tell the difference with MP3. Saves you about 1/3 space.
