I'd have to say the totally free computer from Shopss.com ( less cpu ), $50 17 inch monitor from Staples, and 5 - 128 meg Dimms ( from different sources ) all for around $135 total.

Actually, those ps2 bundles have gone great for me. Check this out.

1. Ordered one from kbkids in May.
2. Stood in line for one the night it came out.
3. Got one from wallmart.com

Kept first one, Sold Second one for $600, sold third one with madden2k1 for $610...

essentially I have made $450 in profit, and got 2 games free (ones i kept with the wallmart bundle).. so basically I got a free PS2 plus a few bux and a few games.

I think my best deals came when Mobshop had all those coupons.
The $50 worth of Exxon gas for $30.
The $10 Talkabouts (or was that '99?)
The $2 sound cards.
The free scanner (after rebate).
Several N64 and Playstation games for about $15.00 each
when they were going for $40plus at the stores.
All with free shipping.

Here's the 3 that I believe were the best, given the number of people that participated in them (in no particular order):

1. HP 930c printer from E-Stamp. Rebate paid promptly, although I would be disappointed in this printer if I had paid full price.

2. $175 off $200+ through Questlink. Very confusing and looked like it might be a scam at first. It paid off for those of us who took a chance. Really worked out to be $175 off $200+ plus tax on the $200+, which I still think was illegal.

3. The free TiVo from CC. Still haven't recieved any rebates.

The best deal of the year was the $400 off from MSN/Best Buy for residents of California and a couple other states. Hands down, the best.

Its a combination of so many deals. I've been a reader of Anand's site since he was 15(not that I knew for about a year, then he posted that he was taking driving lessons,WOW)and I never even went to the forums till about 6 months ago. Now I'm addicted. Hot Deals is my home page. Too many for free, too many for scarry cheap, too many for cheap. Maybe that 21" Cornerstone monitor(refrb.) for $269 from secondwindpc.com.

I got into the Shopps computer deal and the Micro-Center e-trade $400 deal also. Both where a pain in the a** to follow through, however, the end results where good. I must add that my girlfriend liked the free "back" massager from Drugstore.com the best! Remember that one?!

I gotta go with Norman Smiley and friends. The Microsoft pooch screw that allowed for CA residents a bonus 400 bucks with no catch. My free DVD player has given me many hours of enjoyment and the surprise 17" monitor I gave my parentals insured my invitation to Thanksgiving dinner for many a year to come! They don't need to know I didn't pay for it. After all, it's the thought that counts, right?
