non VOiP # for WhatsApp/Viber ?

I am traveling outside of US
but I need a second WhatsApp and Viber # for business for long term

I tried using my Google Voice #s but can not validate ..
so i tried some VOiP but same thing
as they filter out any VOiP #s hmmmm any suggestions please PM me

so my only option is to ask my mom/friends to get a real prepaid # from some mobile operator .. any suggestions here?

which operator would be good? and pro rate when i cancel?..

verify WhatsApp and Viber with it

and then port it to Google Voice for $20

and have it for life ..

what do you think?

Not too sure. I had that VOIP detecting crap myself. Even with free VOIP numbers!

I'll throw this out there though. Either your own VOIP server with a Raspberry PI might work or MagicJack.

That's all I got.

Just had an idea while having a smoke. It's actually my best time to think.

If this number is needed just for authentication purposes, perhaps a throwaway phone would suffice. Just use that phone number, get a text and bam!

But I would back up your password to several methods because if you lose access to your account and let the phone time run out losing your original phone number, you'd be screwed. What I use is Keepass for passwords. I upload the database of Keepass found in the program's folder of Keepass to several cloud providers. I also store the database on a DVD that's kept in my fireproof safe.

To add extra protection to your Keepass database file use 7Zip and archive it using an encrypted SFX self-extracting archive. That's what I do. After all, a lot of my passwords that I can't use PWDhash with are stored in there as well as backup passwords for many two-factor websites. Keepass lets you store text files.

Anyway, a throwaway phone might just be your solution. Last time I seen them in the store it was like $20 for three months of service and the phone is next to nothing. They even have no thrills Smartphones. I never been to another country outside of Canada. But if the movie Bourne Identity is any indication, throwaway phones should be available damn near everywhere. (No, it's not just a movie, it's a life lesson! LOL)

Well shit. Just read your OP again and you did mention a prepaied phone number. Are you outside the U.S. now? What country? I could see if there's a store around that might sell them. LOL!
