Testing supplies are still not up to par. My local newspaper is saying that they have to follow cdc guidelines before they can test anyone due to the lack of tests. A husband and wife went to jersey to visit family for an emergency and stayed at a hotel with confirmed covid-19 cases and the hospital their family was staying had a doctor that was infected. On the way home the wife got a fever and chest pains. When they got back they went to my doctors office and she had two partially collapsed lungs. She had a severe upper-respiratory infection, fever and all the other symptoms that go with covid-19 but they stopped short of testing her. They also went through our hospital system drive through testing and she didn't meet the criteria for testing. The state dept. said the fact that they were out of state would warrant testing but there was nothing they could do. I think could get ugly soon due to the lack of tests. This may also explain why there are so little people positive in WV.

Yeah that's a harrowing number. There are a bunch of factors that could have contributed to some of that, such as the following explanation, but a lot of these people likely have passed.

Epoch Times-
"It's possible that some migrant workers had two cell phone numbers before. One is from their hometown, and the other is from the city they work in. In February, they might close the number in the city they work in because they couldn't go there."

It is possible that these workers may have gone to their home city for the Chinese New Year and after the travel ban, they did not get a chance to come back to China. It should be noted that in China there is a basic monthly fee to hold a cell phone account and the majority of migrant workers, who belong to the lowest income group, likely only have one cell phone account.

The economic downturn caused by the outbreak could have forced the Chinese people, who have two cell phones to cancel one of them.

While explaining the scenario in China, Tang said, "At present, we don't know the details of the data. If only 10 percent of the cell phone accounts were closed because the users died because of the CCP virus [Novel Coronavirus], the death toll would be two million."
Expose from Feb 9 about China government covering up the actual death toll:

So this just occurred to me.... I traveled with the family around... Early to mid february to Florida for a work conference + side-trip to see other family.

When we came back, basically everyone got sick with RSV.

RSV is essentially the exact same symptoms - and it can impact your lungs/breathing heavily. It's a damn near close equivalent to Coronavirus (and I'm honestly not sure what their main differences are).

Wondering if at the time we just had Coronavirus....

I love how we are now equating dead cell phones with dead people. The misinformation never ends. I dont really blame you guys though, we really have nothing else better to do right now.
No one believes it's 1:1

A lot of those people are dead.

Maybe, maybe not.

Now, back to square 1.

WTF are you talking about? I asked him what he meant by being an 'idiot' but he wouldn't elaborate other than say he ignored all the advice. The only obvious one I can think of is not washing your hands frequently. But I really want to know how he got this thing cause I saw him last week and he said he went to the hospital on Monday. I ran Tuesday and Thursday this week with no trouble. I plan on running tomorrow evening as well. He's 25 and I'm 37. If he falls because of this virus I won't be happy.
Around here, they say you can still walk your dogs or go jogging, but try to keep distance from others. Don't stop and talk or touch anyone (obviously).

I've had to walk to/from the free public electric car charger a few times and I still see at-risk elderly people doing leisure stuff every time.

The news today keeps saying the US leads the world in the number of cases now at 86000+. I call bullshit that China doesn't have more since they were at 80k near the Beginning of March. Did they just stop testing altogether? They can't have that good of a handle on things unless they have a vaccine. That seems as though their lack of releasing actual numbers is more propaganda to make it look like the US is out of control. (apparently, that's a thing now)

Chinese cinema has abruptly closed cinemas again without explanation. Hmm.

No, not even close. Those numbers are total BS. They will blame the hidden cases on imported cases in the near future.

They are already blaming Covid-19 on the U.S. armed forces.

If they are going to be wreckless

I would be happy if they could figure out how to be wreckless! Sadly, they are too reckless for that.

21 million cell phones in China have gone dormant during the outbreak.

Chinese use their phones for EVERYTHING. Chinese can't buy anything in lock-down without their phone (and you almost couldn't buy most things without your phone even during normal times). The dormant accounts also show unspent balances.

A lot of those people are dead.

Some of those might have been second lines not tied to a bank account/WeChat. It would be better if we could figure out how many WeChat accounts went dormant in the same time period.

They're saying what I was saying: the testing debacle in the USA comes from decades of bad policy at the CDC and FDA.

The CDC has been undergoing a process of erosion for some time. They mishandled Zika a few years ago. We got really lucky on that one.

Expose from Feb 9 about China government covering up the actual death toll:

My takeaway from that video is that they were maxed out at that one crematory for at least three weeks? Maybe that's a little simplistic, but things started ramping up on Jan 10th and the phonecall was in early February? 11 furnaces, 50 minutes to burn one body. That's 316.8 people per day. Over three weeks that's 6652 bodies (with one corpse only 80% immolated). Supposedly that's 4-5 times the normal volume. Assuming 4.5 higher volume than normal, 5174 bodies in that time period were the "overflow" from Covid-19.

From one crematory. The Hankou crematory was supposedly seeing higher volume. And 60% of all deaths were at home. They were locked down and left to die.

China claims ~3300 total deaths. No way in hell.

Talked with several that had the same earlier in the year. Some here, friend's brother's family went to Disney, another family after a cruise. Guess that would be a good thing is a lot have already had it.
I would really like to be tested just so I could know if the extremely minor thing I had a couple weeks ago was a nearly-asymptomatic case of COVID-19.

...but I'm not a priority for testing since I'm feeling 100% fine now.

I imagine there will be an antibodies test soon enough.

The PRC test in the U.S. won't detect SARS-CoV-2 in patients that have fully recovered.
I imagine there will be an antibodies test soon enough.
The serology test is common in South Korea, and a number of their kits have been privately imported into the U.S.

one positive side of being quarantined in Argentina is that a 1-litre bottle (whatever that is in imperial units) is 150 pesos, or 2 GBP. Or less. You could go as low as under 2 bucks for a liter or beer.
Stuff is just free here. a bottle of horribly acidic wine (still gets you drunk) is 2 bucks. A WHOLE BOTTLE. Box of frozen hamburgers is 50c.

On the subject of COVID changing our habits forever, i will say yes. I was at the supermarket today and i saw a guy walk in who evidently knew the cashier, and they said hi to each other by elbow bumping each other. That's not going away.
