I think he government actually wants to start bringing more immigrants to the northern cities like here, Thunder Bay etc. I don't really have a problem with it.

I guess what I mean is what is, it's early, but is the expected contagiousness and mortality rate indicative of epidemic. These new strains always make for good headlines.
Last I read the mortality rate was about 2% but that was exceedingly early on, probably to early to actually have statistically significant figures. It does appear to be quite virulent though, and China's actions belie their comments, IMHO. The video I saw last night on the news makes it look pretty serious. All those Chinese wearing masks. The temperature screenings. I expect all air travel from Wuhan to be stopped, period. I live near S.F. If we went under quarantine here, I'd live. I'd be fine. In fact I have food for months here, running water, electricity. I could conceivably hole up for a long time. Cabin fever?
