Yep, it's too much at $40 most everywhere. Every once in a while one shows up on fleabay for $25 or so.

it is a proprietary adapter you need too, so not much chance for cheaper price.

Doesn't 10.1 use a different GAPPs than 10.2? You might have to re-flash the 10.1version??

I think so - I'll try to install GAPP for version 10.1 from a memory stick first, if I can find it.. The RC3 version of 10.1 has actually been pretty stable so far other than the App store not connecting. Still laggy in some places, but better than earlier 10.1 releases.

looked at chromecast...so if wanted to watch something from an online site on the tv via the nook, that would work? or what if I am looking at a website on the nook and want to see it on the tv, will it do that?

Works fine on stock ROM, I've tried a bunch of tables and no issues at all. I've seen other games that don't work on CM 10.x (Bard's Tale frex) so it's not for me.

The stock ROM with an alternate launcher and root/sideload mods works pretty well for me for everything I can throw at it.

10.1.3RC is now working well for me with everything I have, but I don't have pinball arcade (too bad they don't have the Adam's Family table!). But it shows the general problem - someone will say version X.X works great for them, and then you try it and have problems.
As soon as they fix everything, there will be a be new better (and buggier) versions of the OS, and I'll probably end up installing them and wasting hours of time getting the Nook working properly...

Being this is an RC...as long as you stay on tract pun intended; it should be ok.

umm OK :roll: there are various ways to accomplish what you did.

Any how...Pinball Arcade was working today. The GUI is a bit confusing and what you had to do was select the upper Pay/Free Play option first, then start and then choose free play or pay to play.

The first option downloads the table to the device, the second option loads the table.

So far everything is working that I downloaded for the kid (AFAIK). Dragon Story, Pet Shop Story, The Croods, Minecraft PE (paid), How to make paper planes, angry birds, draw a stickman, temple run, NASA, Dictionary, Ant Smasher, Kids Match Em, Gurk, Marvel Who, Candy Crush, and a few more.

ehhhhh....

theoretically it supports exfat 64gb cards.

Last time I used one...it functionally was FAT32. File transfers would crap out around the 4gb mark.

I thought all the Fat file systems had a limit of 4 GB? You had to format as NTFS to use the higher than 4 GB?
