yesterday i killed another nook, for a grand total of 4.
1st one lasted almost 3 years (orginal nook). i ended up using the warranty as i wore out the next page button.
Replacement (original nook) lasted a year, then part of the screen fried, so it no longer refreshes.
Bought another nook (orginal) that one lasted 1 week, and then same issue with screen. I have had the same (official b+n)case for all 3, it was a bit worn. so im figuring the case was the issue.
then i bought a nook simple touch and new b+n official case. read 15 or so books, and then let it sit for a bit, and then last week started reading again. yesterday the part of the screen stopped refreshing. No damage to the nook, or to the case.
I am debating if i should get another nook or should i jumps ship to amazon. I can convert all my epubs to mobi so that shouldnt be an issue.
I just want to know if the hardware is better?
then i need to figure out what series to get. my requirements are:
decent battery life.
physical next page button. (touchscreen version drove me crazy on the nook)
I dont need it to glow, and i dont need current generation as i want to keep the cost below $50 (planning on getting a used one)
