Norcent 19" LCD at Staples Online for $169

Does anyone have any comments on whether this is any good. It will be an Online Special on Black Friday for $169. It will save me a trip to the stores.

I think it has a response time of (a lengthy) 25ms...this would cause a significant motion blur whilst playing games.

However, $169 is a good price for a 19" at any brand it seems, and if you're not concerned with gaming, I'd say go for it......if only for the space saving/aethetic/easy on the eyes appeal of it.

I play on 25ms and it isn't that bad. hell the old Dell 19" ers had 30ms. buy it and return it if it is a POS!

Especially since it has DVI too!

Was this the best 19' pricing for a LCD w/ DVI on Black Friday right?

Not to thread crap, but the MAG 19" at BB seems to be better (analog only, but 16ms response time).

They also had the Samsung 19" at Staples B&M for $199 AR.. got 3 myself.. they were all gone by 605am.

True - the same Samsung 19" LCD at BB was $30 more expensive.
However, the $15GC for every $100 spent was the deal closer for the 19" and 17" MAGs that I purchased - plus they are 16ms panels while the Samsung is 12ms - no biggie to me.

I just received the spec sheet on the Norcent 19" LCD and the spec sheet shows the LM-962 with a Responce time of 8ms not 25ms but no DVI

Where do you get your spec from? On the www.norcent.net, the LM-960 have response time of 25ms but also have a DVI. I can't find any spec for LM-962 though.

I sent them an email then they emailed me the pdf file. Its not looking good... Im going to be pissed if it doesnt have DVI. I don't think the Norcent spec sheet is wrong I sent them an email back asking to confirm that the LM-962 does not have DVI. Looks like they lowered the responce time but dropped the DVI on the LM-962 . Also the speakers are only 1 watt on the 962's

I guess it's not too bad consider that 8ms is probably better for gaming. I've an Envision En9250 with 25ms response time and you can see the mouse cursor trails. Maybe you can try to bring it to a local Staples and ask for a refund because it lacks DVI. I would print out a copy of specification in the link and indicate that you either want a substitute or a full refund. In any case it would probably be in your favor for an exchange for another 19" LCD with DVI since there are so few new LCDs now have a 25ms response time.

I received mine yesterday and box says 8ms and it does have dvi, pretty well pleased with the purchase.
