North American XB-70 Valkyrie

I've always been intrigued by the XB-70. Such a large, beautiful airplane. Too bad SAMs pretty much killed the program

From what I remember, in the crash with the F-104, the pilot of the F-104 got too close to the XB-70 and aerodynamic sucking action of the XB-70's wings in the downward sweep phase sucked the F-104 over its wing slamming it into the right vertical tail fin.

The TU-144 is more of a rip off of the Concorde. The XB-70's wing tips bent down to ride the shock wave for more lift.

Why would the British/French Concorde get R&D info from the XB-70. If anything, America's failed SST program would have gotten R&D from the XB-70

if im not mistaken, another aid in dismantling the XB70 program was the fact that its folded wingtips created a vortex (which ended up sucking in an escorting aircraft, causing the two planes to collide).

but yeah, its max payload pwnz - 14 thermonuclear bombs (H bombs)
