NC has some of the best beaches/fishing (Outer Banks), BBQ (pulled pork), education (Duke), and advanced research (the whole research triangle area) in the world. Who wouldn't want to admit to being a resident?

I don't think people understand what all goes on in the "Research Triangle" but for those not in the know, it's the largest technology and medical R&D center on the east coast.

We go to Outer Banks every year, fantastic beach. Week long vacation only costs $160 per person and that includes a big house, food, everything. We've tried again and again but we simply cannot find any other trip that beats it for the price.

If I didn't live here I would probably live in NC.

Yeah, I live in NC, but I have a good friend in Charlotte County VA who has a lot of land and retired early.

I am frequently there to vacation and shoot guns. :biggrin:
