Northern women versus southern women

Never been to the South. Have been stuck in California all my life.

I will have to say Southern women are more friendly and approachable than Northern gals. I got a job offer up North (New Jersey to be exact) a few years ago and I didn't accept it. One of the many reasons because the Southern gals just simply better ( I am sure there are cool Northern gals too but not as many).

I don't know,I live in Boston and I'm not smelly,hairy,fat or angry.I won't put up with fools though and we sure do have plenty of the male version of those here.I had to import a b/friend.

I met a couple of women from Boston and they were the worst. The warmed a little bit after they figured out I wasn't a serial killer and I wasn't trying to hit on them.

Okay wrong thread I'm sure, but good-looking southern women all look the same. The same way that all porn stars look the same. Am I the only one who thinks all porn stars look the same?

From the amount of time I've spent with both Southern and Northern girls, I would say:

Southern girls tend to be friendlier.

Northern girls tend to be more independent and self-reliant.

What irks me about some of the Southern girls that I've met is that they want every aspect of their life to be controlled by their SO. Quite often these girls end up dating/marrying overbearing and controlling assholes. And as much as they may complain about it, they stay with them anyway.

I think it depends. The south is in general less urbanized than the north, and I think that's the main reason for the differences. I'm from a pretty rural area in Ohio and even though we're a bunch of Yanks, we have a habit of being laid back and willing to talk with strangers.

Being "qucik on the draw " is interesting in the south too.

I was buying a rim from a junkyeard a few weeks ago, and the guy told me that they wouldn't have the tools to take the old tire off the rim they offered me, unless I felt like paying $10 for the [ spanking new] tire.

As soon as he said that I pulled out the cash + the $10...and he said this:


"well,....well....if ya gonna be like 'that' you can just have it"

I did pay him the $10 anyways under the condition that he would have to give me a good deal on a car stereo [which he did]

Did you happen to take a look at the type of men walking around Beantown?While there are exceptions for the most part it's a scary,sad bunch.You can't even stand on the street and try to hail a taxi in broad daylight without some idiot pulling over.

I'm in Florida and I do go up to Georgia pretty often. I do find that the true southern people are very friendly. They tend to value family and friends more (or atleast show that they do).

you all is a south east thing (and I notice boston people seem to do it too), it's ya'll in texas, and it's pronounced yaw'l (the 'll is nearly silent)

username guy is right, all southern women look the same to me too, in the same way all porn stars look the same. I find it kind of boring actually, when all of the chicks have dyed blonde hair, to much makeup and the same clothes...I've only really known one southern chick...and lets just say she was really, REALLY friendly for some one I just met. So friendly I felt dirty afterwards.

I'm from the north, but not a heavily built up city area. Even I carry the bitterness that a couple of the other guys in the thread have. Women up here are trying to bleed you dry, and they feel no shame in doing it. Most are to busy worrying that you might be oppressing them or something to actually get close too. They all seem to be humorless, rigid b|tches that wouldn't give you a chance unless you're some testostone freakjob with a fast car and a huge bank role to throw at them.

But they aren't all like that, I've got a good one who's a bit old fashioned and I really love her. She doesn't have unrealistic expectations, she's not a money grubbing gold digger but she's still got that 'I take no sh|t from anyone' self respect that I find appealing. That doesn't stop me with being bitter with women on the whole though.

women in the north seem to be more 'mannish' than women in the south.
i went to michigan once and i saw so many mannish type women there.
it must be the germanic or nordic influence, i think.
