Norton 360 backup question

I tried Norton support and they were useless. They e-mailed me and said to send a screenshot of my settings and send it, like I don't know I have it set right.

Anyway, I have my backup set to monthly on the 1st of every month at midnight to secure online storage. I have it set this way in both the backup settings and task settings areas. However, every morning I turn my monitor on and there is a pop-up window saying Norton backed up 10, 15, 20 or however many files successfully. Why is it doing this if I have it set to monthly backup? Thanks much.

Has your first backup completely finished yet? E.g. is it set to the first of the month but only getting 10-20 files done at one time before erroring out and re-trying later?

Can you post the screen shot somewhere? Let me know and if we can't figure it out here, I can escalate it thru support.

Here ya go, thank for the help. And yes, a full backup was run on the first day I got N360. It's not giving any errors, just saying it's backed up 10 or 15 files successfully every day in a pop-up window.

First, I forgot to ask, have you run LiveUpdate and verified you have all of the latest patches?

Hard to argue that looks correct. Could you try one thing for me. Change the time to a non-midnight value (e.g. 1am) and see if it still happens tomorrow. If it doesn't, I think I know whats up and will talk directly with the dev group.

If it does still happen, please PM your contact information (name, email, phone) and your current support tracking # (if you have one) and I'll start the escalation process.

Thanks. I have all the latest updates via LiveUpdate. I have changed the setting to monthly on the 1st day of the month at 0200. Will let you know if I still get the window tomorrow.

Nope, still did it :frown:

Here is a Screenshot

I have my Mozilla folder in my User folder set to backup for my Firefox settings. Does it save the files every day just because they change or what?

Darn! Ok, pm me that contact info and I'll start a support escalation case. It will still take a bit to get thru the system but this makes it trackable by me and they need to follow-up with me if the issue isn't resolved. That's usually a pretty good motivator

Thanks for all the help, I have uninstalled N360 and gotten a refund since it's only been like a week. It was causing me other problems not worth going into here and I was sick of it. Thanks again.
