I've been trying to backup over tcp/ip with Ghost for 2 months now and I still can't get it to work. Previously I was using Ghost 5.0 but I finally gave up and purchased Ghost 2002 but still can't get it to work.
My desktop machine appears to work but I'm trying to backup a laptop to it. I can't get the laptop nic card to be recognized. I think I finally got the right drivers onto the boot disk using packet drivers but I get an i/o error while booting the laptop with the floppy. I'm thinking that maybe the pcmcia slot that the nic is in may not be getting recognized. Has anyone gotten this to work that can help me?
It is a Dell Inspiron with a Linksys 10/100 pcmcia nic card. Win 98SE is installed, and I'm using the MS-DOS option for booting with the Ghost boot disks.
Thanks for any help.
