I ordered on the 18th and still havent received mine.

So far, there's only one opinion on using GoBack. Anyone else used the included Goback and how well does it work? Or should I use XP's system restore instead of Goback?

Is it just me or is Norton Ghost NOT on this CD?
There's a ghost file viewer, etc... but I don't see Ghost itself.
Plus, a number of the programs are disabled (greyed out)

Mine seems to be working normally including Ghost, although I haven't installed it yet. No greyed out files. I'm waiting to install XP first.

Did anyone besides me have problems with online registration? I hope this wasn't a shady deal. In any case, the subscription to NAV updates worked fine.

buffalotoys.com-- Did you do a standard install, or a complete install? Guess which is the default? Check it out.

Buffalotoys- open Norton Ghost Boot Wizard and create bootable floppy.Run Ghost from DOS using that disk.Works great with CD-RW.

They charged me for 10, but I got it straightened out - seems to be a good operation

Not true. I have Norton Antivirus 2000 and it refuses to update due to an expired subscription.
You cannot manually download and install the definitions anymore.
The trick of trying to dump off the raw definition and installing them didn't work on my WIN2K machine.




<< Two words up updating your virus definitions:


1) you can download the update packs from www.sarc.com regardless of how old your program is.

2) you can change the date on your copy of Windows if you want to update via live update (at least with 2001).


I make no comments on the ethical implications of either action. >>
