Apparently if you remove and send in the UPC label from a product for a rebate you forfeit the Newegg 30 day return guarantee. They will reject any returns with missing UPCs. So don't expect any customer service from Newegg on rebate items.

This is not a deal thread and the policy is certainly not new or unique to Newegg.

Usually 21 days or 30 days to have it postmarked to qualify for a rebate.

Another thing to watch for, is when lots of free other items are provided with your purchased item. If you need to return the purchased item, you will also have to return all those free other things, so it increases the difficulty in returning the one item and encourages purchase lock-in.

Test the non rebate stuff too, even if I don't plan on using it for a while.

for $$$. Exchange was requested not $$ back. Obviously not trying to get both the rebate and money back, just a product that works. Thus no rebate AND 30 day warranty- pick one or the other.

This is standard policy for all merchants online or not. Otherwise you could send in the UPC for a rebate and get the cash then return the product without even making a purchase. Not that anyone would ever do anything dishonest or anything..... muahahah!

Bottom line make damn sure it works before sending in the UPC.
